Our daughter is the first US baby born from an automated IVF lab. I wrote the first check into Conceivable, & eventually, they gave us our daughter. Watching the robots work felt like a moon landing. @sarahfrier captures the heartbreak, joy, life & death of this journey in @BW

Animals live in the actual world. Humans live in a conceptual overlay, a dream we mistake for reality. We are blind drunk on symbols and stories, reacting to our own interpretations, not to what is actually happening.

The skills you need to get you there will also serve loftier paths! But you'd avoid a lot of pitfalls by setting your sights appropriately to begin with

I heard someone say this today. I'm not Christian but I find the sentiment beautiful and true: “You should live your Christian values out in the world, because you may be the only Bible someone gets to read.”
