From Flutterwave to Terra Industries, foreign investors are backing Nigerian tech beyond fintech and into defence. But with startup funding falling 21% in 2025, can local investors provide a stronger alternative? technext24.com/news/flutterw…

It's hard to think like this when you're in survival mode, but no matter what stage a company/entity is at, it needs to have two dedicated functions: - R&D to stay ahead of the curve; - A compelling lore to keep everyone, inside and outside the entity believing in the mission.

I was at the #Texcellence 5.0 conference today, and they asked why government doesn't organise its IT to prioritise citizen convenience. I explained that Ministries are organised vertically while citizens engage with government horizontally. You need to have an IT Czar that can say No to Ministries and ensure that citizens engage with ‘One Government.’ That is what Singapore, Estonia, Rwanda and the UK have done. Without that Ministries will continue to procure disparate systems and get the corrupt benefits from awarding the contracts. Citizens will continue to be frustrated. Oh! I also said that I didn’t see why INEC should continue to issue voter cards when 136 million Nigerians already have NIN. The INEC database only has 103 million records verified with fingerprint and facial recognition technology. NIN, on the other hand, additionally captures your face, your ten fingerprints, and the iris of your eyes. We don’t know whether INEC’s 103m are in NIMC’s 136m. We should not be in that situation. By law, @nimc_ng is also the only custodian of root identity data in Nigeria. Why do people who have NINs have to queue up for “Continuous Voter Registration” that is anything but continuous? I am Ezemmuo. I know things.

Still thinking about this incredible tweet
We discovered a sophisticated recording device that was hidden inside one of our offices. We used our models to understand the device and where it had come from, identifying that a specific employee had planted it a few days earlier. We referred the matter to the FBI, and we’re grateful to the agents and prosecutors who moved quickly to make an arrest. The FBI’s investigation is ongoing and we will continue to support their work. At this time, we have no indications of this individual inappropriately accessing or exfiltrating model weights, source code, or customer data. The employee was terminated. We take protecting our technology, data, and people seriously, and as a matter of national importance. Our security program is designed to protect against a wide range of threat actors, from insider risks to cybercriminals to nation states, and this case is an example of how AI can help address these sophisticated security threats.

Kuunda has completed a $5M share sale, with E4E Africa increasing its stake alongside existing investors. But this isn’t fresh funding for the company. The secondary sale lets early investors cash out while Kuunda continues expanding its digital lending business across Africa. technext24.com/news/kuunda-c…

Nigeria agreed on a ₦145-per-metre fee for fibre rollout 13 years ago. Yet Ogun charges ₦6,600, while Ekiti’s application fee reaches ₦700,000. These costs make internet expansion harder and risk widening Nigeria’s digital divide. technext24.com/reviews/13-ye…

Marriages survived because men had the heart to endure women. It lasted for generations because of MEN. Because of our emotional intelligence and our compassion for our wives. Not because women were good partners. Because men learned to overlook a lot of stupid shit women do just to let peace reign. Let's be real, women are NOT easy to live with. They are not romantic. Their whole idea of romance is RECEIVING. What he bought for me, where he took me, what he did for me. Never what they give. They are not funny. They are overly sensitive, they hate accountability, they hate saying sorry, they hate initiating sex with their own husbands, and they are controlling as hell. Stubborn and rebellious. And that domestic violence you hear about in marriages? Most of it is STARTED by the wife. Pushing, slapping, throwing things, talking reckless, provoking until the man reacts. Then she wants to play victim. Look at any relationship that doesn't have a man in it,it doesn't work. Lesbians? Highest divorce rate. Highest abuse rate. Because there is no man there to tolerate their violence and their emotions. Two women together can't handle each other. Female friendships? Even worse. Pure gossip, backbiting, jealousy, cutting each other off over the most childish things. They will have 10 female friends by 2022. By 2026, only 2 are left. She has fought with ALL of them. Every single one is now an enemy. But men are the problem.
what opinion on relationships will have you like this?

🤣🤣 fifth time I’m seeing this when the conversations started, even I told her not to think twice about it! That funding is going to unlock so much for builders, people are beginning to see what’s possible so no, there was no dog eat dog situation or sidelining… Shalom and I spoke about it well beforehand and we couldn’t have been more excited to have powered Lagos Life to where it got and honestly this is still one of the biggest wins for Bachs… The publicity, the growth and most importantly, the validation that what we set out to build is real we’re here to help builders win, seeing Lagoslife succeed at this scale is a huge win for us too!
"Bachs should have stepped in from the beginning" Abeg where Bolu wan see 500k$ 😭 Make una no put them for talk oo

This is quite crazy, leaving 35B on the table, their partnership with Uber is obviously very strong. Other market seems more favorable to them then. Good luck to Moove.
