📊 Malachi Fagan-Walcott - Key Stats Heart of Midlothian have been linked with 24-year-old former Spurs defender Malachi Fagan-Walcott following an impressive spell at York City 👀 So what may have made the former Dundee & Dunfermline man stand out to Jamestown? Here’s what the data shows 👇 ⚔️ 5.16 defensive duels /90 with a huge 74.6% win rate 📈 Ranks ABOVE Halkett, Findlay & Kent in both metrics. 🪂 Aerial duel volume and success rate comparable to Steinwender & Findlay — although still below Halkett & Kent. 🧠 Much more involved on the ball than Hearts’ current CBs: 🎯 60.32 passes /90 ✅ 87% pass accuracy Both higher than Findlay, Steinwender & Halkett. 🎨 0.34 key passes /90 📦 1.54 passes into the penalty area /90 That creative output is miles above any current Hearts CB and his key pass numbers outperform players including Alan Forrest, Tomas Magnusson, Oisín McEntee & Marc Leonard despite playing at centre-back. ⚽ 8 goals from 6.54 xG A genuine threat from both set pieces and open play. York City played plenty of football in a back three which gave Malachi more freedom to step out from central areas (explaining some of the attacking data) and that role would likely look different in a back four. But with Hearts needing more pace, athleticism and depth at CB — combined with Jamestown’s known love of lower league English talent — this feels like a move that would make a lot of sense 👀
