Great reminder here! One other thing to remember just because you don’t live in the lake effect snow belt doesn’t mean your area cannot see lake enhanced snow. This can cause snow squalls so now’s a good time to remind yourself what to do if you find yourself in a snow squall.

We're having a blast at the Mid-Atlantic Severe Weather Conference today!
So fun hanging out with @JWatson_Wx, @PAStormTrackerz, and @capitalweather!
❄️ The Northeast may see its first taste of winter this year as Gulf moisture may coincide with an influx of Arctic air advancing southward out of Canada. Snowfall totals should remain relatively low across lower elevations, however, as we are still transitioning into the winter season and pavement temperatures remain relatively warm. Areas along the immediate coastline may experience blizzard-like conditions as well as very minor coastal flooding if the scenario were to happen.

Replying to @afikewx
it was the most insane storm I'd ever seen, my first real plains chase. And then it dropped Braman and the satellite 🤯🤯🤯
A broad area of low-level clouds has expanded across a large portion of the Midwest, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and overcast conditions. This is being driven by a saturated column of air at 850 mb, coupled with a stout capping inversion that is limiting vertical mixing and keeping skies overcast.
