Civil self-defence groups are those where they can be called to tackle any lynch mob, detain the perpetrators under citizens arrest laws, and take them to the police (with evidence). It's important that Muslims organise and remain within the law while doing so.

The spread of death and disease is a pretty good reason to oppose a lifestyle, but then again some people enjoy being infected by sexually transmitted diseases (the phenomenon known as "bug-chasing"). Different points of views I suppose?

The tragedy is not only that it happened, which is bad enough, but the fact that governments around the world have normalized relations with Egypt. There was no boycott of Egypt even from tourists. There was nothing. People just don't care.
#RabaaMassacre - 10 Years On
It's been 10 years (14th August 2013) since Egyptian security forces killed over 1,000 people protesting against removal of elected President Mohammed Morsi at #Cairo’s Rabaa Square.
The massacre took place outside the Rabaa al-Adawiya Mosque in Cairo where members of the Muslim Brotherhood and Egyptian opposition had been protesting for 47 days after Morsi was overthrown by the military.
No one has ever been brought to trial and the Egyptian government has yet to transparently investigate the massacre.
