Tolerating always turns to resentment. At first, you call it patience, then love. But what it really is, is self abandonment. Every time you swallow a boundary, excuse a pattern or silence your discomfort, something inside you keeps score. Likes And eventually, the bill comes due.

This is why you should be able to squat 150kg at least because what if a baby elephant wants to ride your back and you don't have enough strength to pick it up. Couldn't be me.

Kim Kardashian reflects on her past relationship with Ye, and how he changed her life ❤️‍🩹 “That time in my life was so, so much fun. And so special. It was, like, the normal years, the calm before the storm.” “I realize that he loves, like, a project, right? I think he really fell in love with the idea of me, and the project behind it all. He loves things that maybe aren't cool and 'I'm going to make them cool.'” “Whether it's, like, 'I’m going to stop rapping and do a whole singing album, like 808s [& Heartbreak].'” “And everyone’s like, 'How could you not rap? It's blasphemy!' And then it’s the best album.” “I think he's like, 'Let me be with a reality star. No one respects it. I’m going to show you how cool it is.' He changed my life. He absolutely changed my life.” She also explained how Ye would love to style her, and her openness to learn about high fashion from him: “I just didn’t know anything about high fashion. There were all these fashion books piled up. It was time to get to work and learn. He gave me so much confidence.” (Via The Cut)

i got goosebumps reading this. it makes me realize that sebenarnya kisah klasik ada banyak msg besar yg nak disampaikan, tapi kita takkan nampak kalau kita tak cuba fikir & fahamkan. teringat ada orang post kat threads jugak, tentang mesej tersirat dari kisah pak pandir.
someone on thread said no wonder puteri gunung ledang asked for 7 dulang hati nyamuk, jambatan emas etc instead of flatly saying no to the sultan. imagine how egoistic a freaking sultan would be..like she would be dead frr or as good as dead

One day, your home will be empty, and someone will have to decide what to do with your things. They'll open your drawers. They'll find the watch you treasured so much, the car you spent three years paying off, and the clothes you saved for special occasions because you didn't want to wear them out. And they'll make three piles: what to sell, what to give away, and what to throw away. None of it goes with you. Not a single thing. The only thing that goes with you is that afternoon you stayed talking for hours and didn't even realize where the time went. The look on your mom's face when you showed up to visit her without telling her you were coming. Don't collect things... Collect moments with the people you love

There’s something I saw on tik tok that I feel would also help during disagreements and arguments… Body contact Try holding their hand when you want to have a difficult conversation, or cuddle. That way y’all can stay grounded no matter how heated it’s getting. It reminds you that the person you’re arguing with is your partner in the conflict, not your enemy
Aftercare after an arguments/ disagreements in a relationship is very important. It leaves 0 room for uncertainty, plus it nurtures the feelings that might’ve been hurt during the argument. AND it’s also another form of reassurance.
