Jarred Gillett gives Newcastle offside, yet Aston Villa take the resulting free kick INSIDE the Newcastle half, exactly where the linesman is indicating the offside occurred.
And this is in the build-up to Villa’s goal.
Can someone explain how an offside offence in Villa’s half results in a free kick for Villa in Newcastle’s half? Make that make fucking sense. 🤦♂️

When alls said and done, I think this is sensible given the sporting sanction Southampton faced initially.
Southampton FC’s Tonda Eckert has been sanctioned by an independent Regulatory Commission for three breaches of FA Rule E3.1 in relation to misconduct between December 2025 and May 2026.

Violent conduct = 3 game ban
Watch an opponents training session = kicked out a £200mil match and likely a huge ban.
Throttling a minor? Yeh just the two games and a weeks wages.
ALT Krystian Bielik has been suspended for two matches and fined £10,000 for misconduct during Cardiff City’s EFL Championship match against Portsmouth on Saturday 5 September. It was alleged that the player acted in an improper manner around the 71st minute of the fixture. Krystian Bielik subsequently admitted the charge. An independent Regulatory Commission imposed these sanctions following a hearing, and the written reasons for its decisions will be published in due course.
