I made Solid Queue fiber-based.
Threads need one DB connection each: they can all query concurrently. Fibers share one connection because only one runs at a time.
100 concurrent jobs:
threads: 102 db connections
fibers: 3 db connections
Plus 20% faster on real LLM streaming workloads.
