ALT Figure 1 from the publication showing relationship between publication year and number of studies using passive, active, or mixed bee collection methods. Next panel shows that mixed and passive collection methods can result in much greater lethal take of bees than active (i.e. netting). Top right panel shows how different bees were used after collecting, with "morphology" (i.e. typically identification) being the top use, with other uses like body material for processing, pollen, or lab studies also being somewhat common. The bottom right panel shows the proportion of studies that report museum deposition information, which is not very many with only about 1/3 of studies indicating where specimens are deposited!
