The watchOS System Experience team's role is now posted here: jobs.apple.com/en-us/details… We could really use someone with some iOS or watchOS development experience! Early career a-ok.

Encountered a curveball on Apple Watch Ultra release day: when checking for waterproofness, the MySwimPro app was only checking for WR50 and not WR100, which lead it to blocking swim workouts from starting on the Ultra... because it's TOO waterproof (!) Oops – fix coming!!

Hardware release days can be stressful, but 1hr turnaround from first report to fix submitted for review feels pretty good!

The new water lock functionality is an underrated change in watchOS 9: it enables new hardware interactions while water lock is on – without actually adding a new hardware button! We're excited to see what else we can do with it. #watchOS9

Had fun experimenting with the new Swift Charts framework for this, plus upped my SwiftUI and async/await knowledge to improve performance significantly in a few places.
