Subway platform edge doors = saving the TTC millions of dollars, saving emergency response resources, saving everyone time, and saving lives.
Join me, and we can get it done when I am at City Hall. KevinR.ca/betterTTC

How much faster would GO trains be if they used electrical multiple unit (EMU) trains?
Today, a 33.7km trip from Pickering to Union station makes 6 stops and takes 45 minutes
Our proposed local EMU service would make 13 stops, and take only 36 minutes.
Replying to @PCFinancial
@PCFinancial @pc_optimum @PresChoice why is this ecosystem so difficult??! Too many platforms that don’t speak to each other. Updating basic information is requires days and workarounds with customer support.
If you have ever had a pc mastercard linked to your optimum basically u r f’d and should just start over with an entirely new optimum account. Ridiculously complicated. @PCFinancial Warn your customers about this well known problem!!! It’s so ridiculous you can only laugh 😂

My politics are whatever this is. Make 1 Front Street Toronto's @altotrain station.
Canada and Toronto could dream big. This is my vision for Toronto’s new ALTO high speed train station at 1 Front St W, directly connected to Union Station next door. Although, too ambitious for Toronto, we could only dream. @altotrain @Transport_gc @MarkJCarney @MayorOliviaChow

Joël-Denis Bellavance on more possible floor-crossings: "I'm told up to ten MPs are still in discussion with Liberal delegates from Mr. Carney's office ... they're still hoping to get more opposition MPs from the Conservative Party, or even the NDP -- not the Bloc Québécois, I don't think."

Toronto could install partial platform screen doors across the TTC network which would save lives and prevent delays. Probably faster than full ones at a lower cost.
I wish our parks dept could make more things like this a reality in the CoT blogto.com/sports_play/2026/…

5. REFORM BUILDING AND FIRE CODES TO CREATE BEAUTIFUL, AFFORDABLE CITIES
I have spoken a lot about this one lately but it’s worth repeating. Ending the housing crisis doesn’t mean building ugly.
We need building code reform!

Ont tories are just making congestion worse. So many real solutions - start by strengthening the transit system and investing in ready projects - brts on dundas (west) and hwy 2 (east). These are easy quick(ish) wins.

Breaking News Today! Ford's assault on cities was ruled unconstitutional by the Ontario Superior Court. He is appealing, but Toronto's bike lanes are saved for now! It's time for Ford to stop losing petty fights and start doing his job. Stay tuned with my community newsletter. Kristynwongtam.ca/newsletter

We need to remove street parking on arterials, and get streetcars and busses out of mixed traffic. There is finally a chance to reshape Bathurst and Dufferin with transit priority lanes. This is a huge opportunity and the city needs to hear the public's support.
