If you're coming to ETS in Denver, you might be interested in this session on the theology of the atonement. My paper explores an ancient and persistent idea that Christ's death on the cross is the anti-type of Adam's sleep, wherein Eve is formed from his rib. (1/2)

Happy to report that this manuscript has been sent off to the editors. It's been in my workshop for about four years. This is a "Dogmatics of the Christian Life" which pivots around the metaphor of Christ the Bridegroom. You can preview the contents here.
This past Monday, I gave the third annual lecture of the Center for Classical Theology. It was a delight to engage with @MattMBarrett and Lewis Ayres. The lecture explored the nature of the Christian experience of the Trinity and it will be published by @crossway.

Enjoy a glimpse of the Telos Bible & Theology Conference, held last weekend in Jacksonville, FL! It was an incredible time of worship, learning, and reflection on the Trinity and the legacy of Nicaea. Learn more about Gordon-Conwell's upcoming events: gcts.edu/events

Following is the abstract:
On the other hand, action theory—a philosophical subject that has for the most part been ignored by theologians—and more specifically, action descriptions, are better suited to describe the actions of agents.
