Milwaukee will host Game 1 of the World Series for the 1st time since October 1, 1958. Pitching matchup at County Stadium that day: Warren Spahn (Braves) vs. Whitey Ford (Yankees). @MLBNetwork

The Padres went 0-for-21 at the plate to end the season. That's the longest hitless drought by a National League team to end a postseason all-time.

Jackson Chourio is the second MLB player to deliver a postseason walkoff hit with his team trailing & with a pitcher who led his league in saves during the regular season on the mound (since saves became official in 1969). The other was Kirk Gibson off Dennis Eckersley in 1988.

Game 2 roof status:

Trying to remember a #Badgers game where they felt out of it for this long and came back to win. Purdue in 2018 comes to mind, but that team got a legendary performance from Jonathan Taylor. Despite three turnovers and nine penalties in Happy Valley, UW outscores PSU 14-0 in the fourth quarter to steal one.

This is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen on a baseball field.
