A positive communication environment is a vital component of any team-based competitive experience. We have always prioritized speech moderation in-game, and we continue to pay close attention to your feedback regarding toxic behavior. Whether through text or voice chat, behaviors such as insults, malicious harassment, discrimination, and hate speech not only hurt other players but also destroy normal in-game communication and the overall match experience.
Recently, we have further escalated our penalties for speech violations. For verified offenses, we implement appropriate disciplinary actions based on the nature, severity, and historical record of the violation. We will enforce significantly harsher penalties against players involved in severe offenses or repeated violations.
At the same time, we have launched a dedicated Moderation Policy page to help players better understand our in-game speech moderation rules and related mechanics.
We respect the right of our players to express differing opinions, but normal communication and discussion should never become an excuse for malicious attacks, discrimination, or the harassment of others. Our stance on moderating toxic speech is clear and resolute. We will absolutely not treat these behaviors as acceptable simply because they are unfortunately common in competitive gaming.
Speech moderation is an ongoing, long-term commitment. Moving forward, we will continually refine our systems for identifying, reviewing, and penalizing toxic speech to constantly improve the game's communication environment. We also encourage all players to actively use the reporting function when encountering speech violations.

people hate heroes like adam, jubilee, white fox, supp pool, and mantis because they donโt know how to play with one on their team.
the truth is these heroes have insane utility, are very proactive, and in the right hands, carry games.

This day is profoundly painful for so many New Yorkers. It marks three years since the horrific war crimes of October 7. On that day, Hamas killed more than 1,100 Israelis and abducted 251 others. We grieve alongside our many friends and neighbors who still carry that unthinkable loss.
The suffering did not begin nor end that day. It instead continued through the Israeli governmentโs devastating, ongoing genocide in Gaza, in which it has killed more than 74,000 Palestiniansโincluding more than 21,000 children. Even since the so-called ceasefire, more than 1,400 Palestinians have been killed. That suffering has intensified with every Israeli bomb dropped on ambulances waiting outside hospitals, every drone strike targeting a residential building or journalist, and every shipment of food aid turned away at a border crossing. Many New Yorkers are reckoning with this unbearable grief, and we mourn alongside them โ all while knowing that our tax dollars fund these war crimes.
Three years later, we must refuse to accept a world in which occupation and apartheid continue, where war crimes are met with impunity, and our federal government continues its complicity with every arms shipment.
To honor the dead, we must fight for a world in which every person can live with freedom, safety, and dignity.

"Don't falsely accuse people" is definitely an interesting choice of words
My take on all the drama thatโs been happening (I just got back from our Ignite bootcamp and only saw everything today):
- Women can play Marvel Rivals at a high level. Itโs been almost two years, and the pro scene has already proven this (Aramori, Valentina, Clio).
- Donโt falsely accuse people of misogyny (Kingsman). You can dislike someone because of their tone or the way they deliver their message, but donโt make serious allegations like that. The term should be reserved for people who are actually misogynistic and deserve to be called that.
- Literally stop harassing Danny Koo and wishing death or anything similar on any Rivals employees. Itโs distasteful and disgusting. At the end of the day they are human as well and make mistakes, they've gone the extra mile a lot of times to help the community.

okay, its finally time to say probably the most important thing ive every had to say in the marvel rivals community. unfortunately, someone needs to be the school teacher at recess telling the kids to knock it off and go back to playing RESPECTFULLY.
I think right now we are so wounded as a whole. rivals removed hate speech as a reportable offense, people are receiving an uptick of hateful comments, and we are all feeling it. theres this tension in the community. like, everyone is a wounded animal
but, I think the marvel rivals community is still good. at its core, we have the strength to be good.
but what about the hateful comments? the slurs? the homophobia?? the racism??
if someone is slinging slurs and being hateful? they arent one of us. I wont tolerate them being apart of us. report, block, and do not engage. I think we must stop giving these hateful people any reaction, because I think thats what they want. they want to see us mad, they want to get under our skin, because they are not one of us, and it brings them some sick twisted form of joy.
these bigots? I want us to forcefully shut them out. block. report. we arent ignoring them, we are turning our backs on them, systematically removing the cancer from our body. they arent a part of us. I want them to feel like outcasts in the shadows, estranged from a warm, loving family, because they are. they should be.
and do you know why I KNOW they arent a part of us? because I have SEEN when the marvel rivals community comes together, I have SEEN and FELT the love and compassion yall have, not just for this game, but for each other.
when knuten needed help to pay his mother's thousands of dollars in medical bills recently, the entire rivals community showed up and helped him reach his goal, AND THEN SOME, almost instantly.
I see our kindness, I feel our love.
but currently, I think we are acting more like a wounded animal than a family. we are hurting, impulsive, and looking to bite any hand for the quick satisfaction of tasting blood, including the ones that feed us.
when I shared my (almost) cancer diagnosis, I felt the collective come to my side, a friend to lean on as my days grew tiring and hard. i knew i could count on yall to bring some light into my darkest hours.
I see our community as a family.. but we dont always treat each other in this way, we act out, we call each other names; we forget we are all trying our best to do good... and, we bite.
please, treat each other with kindness. and let's kick those bigots to the side, they have never been apart of us.
(to be clear: im not saying we should stay silent when a figure in our community NEEDS to be held accountable, im just saying try to lead with more compassion and understanding than we have been recently)

My biggest problem with the Rivals community is that everyone is just calling each others characters easy or devaluing those players achievements based on who they play ;-;
