They came fully armed to poor residents who don't even have a proper place to sleep, with only one mission make them homeless, scatter their livelihoods and belongings. As a result lives have been lost. After surviving floods you die during an eviction process.

It's so unfortunate that the residents of mukuru Kwa Ruben and viwandani have been forcefully evicted from their homes by the government without an alternative. Three people have been killed by the state during the process. We demand the state to resettle the victims immediately.

Interior PS says evicted families to be resettled. An estimated 30,000 people evicted from riparian land. PS Omollo says families to be supported with food

The state has claimed the lives of three people today in mukuru evictions including a five year old Joseph ombata 😭😭😭
Joseph Ombata a five year old has lost his life in their house as the bulldozer was demolishing their house in the ongoing mukuru Kwa Ruben evictions. He was trying to rescue what he could since no one was at home.@WilliamsRuto should suspend the ongoing evictions to save lives.

#floods in Kenya is causing havoc. The silence and wet homes in our slums is soo loud. Deaths, lose of livelihoods, schools and homes swept away or submerged, it's devasting. It's traumatizing.
