How is rape settled out of court? What message does that send to survivors and to society? Rape is a serious crime that should not be reduced to a private dispute that can simply be resolved through compensation. If an out-of-court settlement can lead to acquittal in a rape case, it raises serious questions about accountability and the protection of survivors. Sexual violence is not a debt that can be paid off. @ODPP_KE we demand answers.
