I showed my 5-year old nephew the Tesla Roadster “Hot Wheels” video.
“Tio BK, is that car real?”
What a question you’ve asked…

Hey #RQLA peeps -
I'm a dev on Riftbound and have really enjoyed talking to people all weekend! I'm here a few more hours just roaming around, if you have any hot takes/opinions/complaints about the game I would love to hear them, or if you just wanna chat or say hi, please do!
***Life Update*
Overdue, but wanted to share that I've been working as an independent game designer with Riot on Riftbound!
Can't say enough good things about the team I get to collaborate with on designing new sets. Not much more I can say for now, but the future is bright!
I’ll be in LA this week for #RQLA! Really looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting as many new ones as possible. Say hi anytime.
And if you've stumbled on this and have no idea who I am, here are a couple of quick hits:
*I'm Andrew but everyone calls me BK
*Former MTG pro
*TCG designer for the last 10 years
*Originally from Philly (Go Birds!)
But the real story is that card games changed my life. I found my career, saw the world, and made lifelong friends. I'm excited to help Riftbound do that for many more!
Say hi below, and see you in LA!

Time to let Mom handle this one. Grumpy Rockbear and Frostcoat Mother make this fight a family affair in #RBVendetta.
A goal for middle age:
Never tell anyone the whole culture peaked, BY TOTAL COINCIDENCE, the same year you were 21…
RIP Kai Budde.
Magic and the world lost a GOAT. 🐐
I wanted to take a moment to share three things about him that I will always remember.
1. Unmatched greatness in Magic
7 Pro Tour Wins (most all time)
4 Player of the Years (including 3 in a row)
Like any Magic player, he was one of my heroes. The “German Juggernaut” was inevitable.
2. His sense of humor and love for games.
I think the first time I spoke to him was in a Twitch chat with @MatthewLNass @Smdster. Later I got to test with him.
Talking with Kai, I remember laughing a lot, learning a lot. I never remember once him making me feel less than because he had accomplished so much more.
3. His grace through the end
Kai battled his illness for a long time. There was a pro tour he wanted to attend but couldn’t. His message to the team was so upbeat, that he’d be cheering us on.
I last saw him last year when he visited Denver. Past the point where there was hope left. But I never heard a complaint. I did hear advice on my career that I’ll forever treasure.
He was still my hero.
They say never meet your heroes. I feel blessed I did.

Great run Matt.
A run like this is more impressive to me than a top 8.
Have a top-8 worthy record AND brewed one of the all-time best Standard decks.
GOAT (deckbuilder) still got it.
Sammmmmmy! @Smdster
It's time for the first win-and-in of #MTGWorlds!
Derrick Davis and Sam Pardee battle for the all-important 10th win that will secure them a spot in the Top 8, live now at twitch.tv/Magic
