Do product videos improve conversion rates? Someone asked this on Reddit and I wanted to share my own experience here. Personally I don’t watch videos BUT my own demo video has 175 views out of 1,000+ visits to my site and they average over a minute in view time. Offline or through comments, people have also complimented my video or at least mentioned watching it. I didn’t A/B test having no video so don’t have data, BUT I am quite happy with my own conversion rates (95 sign ups) + the quantitative and qualitative data on the video, suggests it’s worked well for me. That said, I also like to think I made a fairly captivating narrative in the video. It’s not just a demo, there’s a story I’m sharing and the demo is like later at the end.
