Opal Week 2 in full swing. Our children are loving it and there is such a lovely buzz outside. If anyone has any trains or cars or lego, Penn Wood children and staff would be very grateful for your donations. @OpalCic

We were honoured to welcome @TanDhesi - Slough's MP - to Penn Wood today. Our Student Voice Reps asked important questions about education, the environment, and rising crime. Thank you, Mr Dhesi, for inspiring and encouraging hard work, community, respect, kindness&excellence.

Such an inspiring morning spent @PennWoodSchool @Talk4Writing. If you haven’t been and you work in EYFS they have an unmissable open morning on the 13th March. 🌟

Year 2 enjoyed their trip to the woodland this morning - purposefully noticing details in the forest and then writing some beautiful poetry. Looking forward to the innovations tomorrow! @Talk4Writing @PieCorbett

Tremendous to watch teaching across @PennWoodSchool and see upfront teaching without a PowerPoint in sight. Tremendous work in year six with every child using their magpie books to make notes and gather ideas. A genuine community of writers.

As Heathrow Explorers, they came up with design ideas for a transport solution that will make travel throughout the airport even more sustainable. It was an enjoyable way for Year 6 to explore roles at the airport while developing the core Heathrow World of Work skills.

Year 6 had a fantastic workshop with 'Learning to Work' - one of Heathrow’s Education Business Partners. Children worked in teams to create their design, utilising 3D software and honing their presentation skills as they competed to design the most innovative transport solution.

Yes. Most schools have calculation policies you can look at as a guide with examples. We also provide opportunities to come in and watch teachers teach their child’s class. We run parent workshops/information evenings to help guide parents on how best to support their children.

White Rose Minute Maths is excellent. I've heard that NumBots is very good too.
Fantastic work @PennWoodSchool
Year 3 children used role play to recreate the school network. Roles included a switch, desktops, the server, WAP, tablets and laptops! They learnt how information can be passed between devices in the same network and how to save them on the server. #teachcomputing
