"There was never a time in history when there was so much money." That is how Arun Nathan, Partner, Non Profit Advisory at Sattva, describes India's philanthropy moment. Over 80% of that capital comes from domestic sources, and CSR has emerged as one of its most important channels. Arun also sets out what both sides of the ecosystem face. Corporates and non-profits share the ambition to create greater impact, yet each works within its own pressures, from deployment timelines and compliance requirements to limited room for organisational strengthening. Both sides have a role in rethinking how they work together. That is the starting point for Philanthropy Forward, Sattva's new dialogue series on funder and non-profit practices. In Episode 1, Arun hosts Dhruvi Shah, Executive Trustee at Axis Bank Foundation, to discuss long-term partnerships, what makes an organisation a credible partner, why capacity and overheads matter to impact, and how grantmaking processes shape what happens on the ground. Episode 1 goes live soon. Follow Sattva to watch it. #PhilanthropyForward #Philanthropy #CSR #NonprofitPartnerships

240,000 lives. That is the estimated toll of excess deaths linked to high temperatures across South and Southeast Asia in 2021. Extreme heat is no longer a future risk. It is a public health crisis already unfolding, and the people least able to adapt carry the heaviest burden: infants, older adults, pregnant women and outdoor workers. In the Oct–Dec 2026 edition of iMPACT magazine, Sattva Consulting’s Granthika Chatterjee—supported by researchers Kanchan Naik and Kriti Shukla—explores why the true challenge isn't a lack of solutions, but a lack of connected intelligence.
