We deserve the same as educators. We have knowledge, experience, and research that you might not know about or recognize. We care about our profession and want to do well by our students. When an entire district is given a prescription, our autonomy is stripped.

“People” seem to think that I’m doing some kind of arcane magic to help kids become better readers and writers, but 90% of my pedagogy is reading aloud and high volumes of writing. If you have people fighting you over this- they’re just wrong. Stick to your guns. 1/
