Residents want their councils focused on delivering decent local services and keeping council tax low.
This sort of nonsense does nothing to improve people’s lives.
The pronouns “he” and “she” are non-inclusive and make people uncomfortable, a council has said.
Spelthorne borough council, in Surrey, has updated its inclusive language and communication guide to advise against using them. The council, run by a Liberal Democrat coalition, has instead asked staff to use them/they.

When Labour say 'devolution', what they really mean is more politicians, higher taxes, and more interference in our lives.
They'll let mayors put our taxes up, but never cut them.
Taking more of people's money and calling it 'empowerment' is completely outrageous.
Labour are concreting over our green belt, abolishing local councils and giving a free pass to rule-breakers - and Angela Rayner only wants to go further.

Yesterday I had an important catch up with Broxbourne Police to discuss several local issues, including the reckless use of e-bikes in our residential areas.
I will continue to raise your concerns with local officers and push for a stronger approach from the Government.
Broxbourne has already had more than it's fair share of asylum seekers, and after years of effort we've finally closed the Asylum Hotel.
But now the Prime Minister thinks areas like ours need to accommodate even more migrants. This is nonsense.
