Here's a player from each game today I'm backing for a Shot on Target from outside the box...
๐ช๐ธ Spain vs Saudi Arabia ๐ธ๐ฆ
๐ Pedri
Spain had one SOT from range last week and Pedri was the man to land it.
He should have had two really, with another set to hit the target before being blocked.
Over half of his shots for Barca this season came from outside the box.
Saudi Arabia allowed five SOT from outside the box last week, with three of those from central midfield.
๐ง๐ช Belgium vs Iran ๐ฎ๐ท
๐ Kevin De Bruyne
Over EVS for one of Belgium's most dangerous players looks a quality price, especially given he's on free-kicks.
He landed a SOT from outside the box against Egypt, but he also managed four shots in the game, three of which were from range.
No player averaged more shots P/90 for Belgium during World Cup qualifying, where he managed 4.51. 62% of his shots for Napoli in the Serie A also came from outside the box.
Iran conceded three shots on target from outside the box against New Zealand, with two coming from players in the midfield three.
๐บ๐พ Uruguay vs Cape Verde ๐จ๐ป
๐ Maxi Araujo
Araujo landed a shot on target from outside the box as well as getting himself on the scoresheet in their opening game against Saudi Arabia, finishing with 100% shot accuracy.
Heโs not afraid to have a pop at goal either. In the league this season he took 39 shots, with a third of these coming from outside the box.
He'll be confident after his goal last week, and up against a weak Cape Verde side I fancy him to try his luck. Possibly on multiple occasions.
I'm sharing a few extra selections in my free Telegram too.

The answer?
Shots from outside the box. ๐ฏ
๐ 2022 vs 2026 (first round):
- Shots from outside box: 7.06 โ 9.00 per game
- SOT from outside box: 1.69 โ 2.13 per game
- Matches with 1+ SOT: 66.8% โ 83.3%
- Matches with 2+ SOT: 37.5% โ 58.3%
Why I think it's happening:
๐ The ball. I watched some interesting analysis from Joe Hart. He reckons the movement of this year's ball is troubling keepers from distance
๐ More underdogs. There's weaker teams sitting in deep low blocks, forcing shots from range
๐ The heat. Teams are tiring, dropping deeper, conceding more long-range efforts
Perfect chance to target SOT from outside the box today:
๐ช๐ธ Spain โ 11 shots (1 SOT) vs Cape Verde
๐ง๐ช Belgium โ 6 shots (1 SOT) vs Egypt
๐บ๐พ Uruguay โ 11 shots (5 SOT) vs Saudi Arabia
I'm picking out 2 players per fixture I fancy for one.

I've noticed how quickly these prices are dropping...
I'm going to start sharing my Player Prop bets on Telegram first, the odds should last longer in a smaller group.

The same doctors that we applauded for during the pandemic?
The same doctors working above their contracted hours to save lives?
The same doctors being paid 20% less in real terms than they were in 2008?
Stop demonising doctors and start fixing their pay.
