Declining Public Servant Wages since 2008:
Since 2008:
• Rents: +75%
• New clerical officer pay: +31%
A new clerical officer's salary now covers a quarter less rent than in 2008.
That's the backdrop to this week's strike.
After years of budget surpluses, the State can afford to pay its lower paid staff enough to keep a roof over their heads, while not living in poverty.

A Garda witness has confirmed that Riad Bouchaker (Parnell School stabbing) has never worked in Ireland.
He came here circa 2000 and was awarded Irish citizenship despite never being engaged in gainful employment.

Liberal creationism just assumes that the post war world is unquestionable reality and that all that was believed before then which was not liberal was some great evil that was vanquished.
Mass immigration is just some natural process like the migratory habits of birds. All people are interchangeable. History is linear and we are all moving towards progress. Anyone who raises questions is evil and dangerous.
The explosive expansion of third level education has produced more people like this, all demanding professional standards of reward and never to having to do manual work. These people view labour demands as a statistic that must be answered by higher immigration. They think in binary data points simplistic moral generalities and haven't the incentive to think outside of conventional wisdom.
We're told it's bad news for 'Dublin sophisticates' that they'll have tourists in their ultra-cool neighbourhood. How many of these sophisticates are Irish?
Overheard: “The neighbourhood plan. On offer is a contract for any clever agency that can bring footfall to different areas of Dublin. Fáilte Ireland wants things worked out for up to eight .
This is concerning news for Dublin sophisticates. Some of the vibes-ier inner suburbs so beloved of Time Out’s Coolest Neighbourhoods In The World could be at risk – Phibsborough, the Liberties, Stoneybatter, Smithfield and Inchicore among them.”

Irish Times had a piece about US crackdown on H1B visas being a great opportunity for Ireland, because we might be able to entice even more Indians here.
I'm not making that up.

Hi Mick, the reason Tusla has to go to deepest, darkest Africa to find workers, isn’t because it’s “psychically and emotionally” challenging.
The answer is in paragraph 4 of your article. It’s scab labour that pays 25k less than the average industrial wage.

This guy stood in the Dail and said we needed to be kinder and take in more single, male, Muslim men.
He also attacked Enda Kenny for not making illegal immigrants in Ireland legal and demand a pathway to citizenship for criminals.
I told you all years ago he was a fraud.

Given our history as a disruptor it is perhaps not surprising that it was imperative to neutralise us a people. I myself would have considered this to be batshit crazy notion ten years ago. There are clearly forces intent on turning country into a bland industrial estate.
EXCLUSIVE: Over 40% of social housing allocations in Fingal are to households headed by persons born outside the state, figures shared with MATT TREACY by Cllr Patrick Quinlan show. The Council had previously refused to release the data.
