Mona was one of the pioneers of onchain asset management.
When Enzyme (Melon back then) formed, DeFi wasn't even a term yet. There were no standards. No oracles, DEXes. Ethereum was still growing up.
Sometimes we get frustrated with how things are moving, but forget just how far this industry has come and the people that helped us get here.
After a decade, I've decided to step back from the industry and wind down @avantgardefi to start a new chapter.
We began in 2019 as the core development team for @enzymefinance in the middle of a brutal bear market, when building in this space took real conviction. Over several versions, we helped Enzyme become self-sustaining, and it's been a joy to watch it grow into one of the fastest-growing fund tokenization platforms today.
From there, we evolved into curators and treasury managers for some of the most respected names in the space, including @compoundfinance, @gitcoin, @SuperRare, @NEARProtocol , @decentraland, @graphprotocol and many others. Our team oversaw hundreds of millions in transactions and TVL and kept our clients safe through one of the toughest years for #DeFi security we've seen.
None of that happens without an exceptional team. Every one of them brought talent, integrity & genuine care to the work. If you're hiring, they are some of the best people I know, and I'd be glad to make introductions.
What I'll miss most is the daily interaction with people. This industry has given me some of the smartest, most generous and most driven people I've ever met, and many of them have become friends. I've loved building alongside you all, through the bear markets and the bull runs.
To our clients, investors and partners: thank you for your trust. It has truly been a privilege 🙏
I'll be taking some time before deciding what comes next but please stay in touch.

This is gonna be a 0 to 1 for performance cars.
The thrusters will probably be creating additional downforce on the tyres for faster takeoff and cornering.
Normally EVs are quick in a straight line but not around a race track due to additional battery weight. Let's see
It's awesome to see how @DeriveXYZ has introduced so many to onchain options.
And for those who think that options are too complex for the average trader, look at Robinhood's main revenue source
I’ve gone down a similar rabbit hole over the last couple of weeks
Have come away incredibly bullish on onchain options, I think the market is going to be orders of magnitude larger than what it is now in the not too distant future
Whether any token or protocol is gonna do well in the short term is tough to gauge but I think we see some big big winners in this sector this cycle, and certainly over the next 5+ years
As a nerdy degenerate that never really participated in tradfi, learning how to create strategies around options is just genuinely very interesting and appealing to me - and I’m still of the ilk that prefers onchain solutions

.@DeriveXYZ launched as Lyra in 2021 and has spent years building the leading onchain options exchange
91% of onchain options volume now runs through Derive
Toros is bringing that liquidity to @base
I haven't seen any discussion around this, but using AMMs for onchain stock liquidity is hugely capital inefficient. You need at least a million in each LP pair to get price execution that still eats slippage in size.
Seems strange not to just source liquidity from much deeper equity markets and bring that execution onchain.
The strange thing about trading is that you can see an asymmetric upside opportunity, explain it to others clearly, but still not pull the trigger yourself.
Saylor showed the market that Strategy was willing to sacrifice both $BTC and $MSTR to bring $STRC back up to $100 (the main way Strategy wants to raise for future BTC buys), but many investors still faded it.
The thing that annoys me about this interview is that the biggest impact to staking tapering is the unwinding of staked ETH - ETH lending loops, and it's never talked about. Aave and EtherFi have millions in revenue to lose from those loops.
Ethereum should absolutely have a staking security target. The unwinding of these loops will bring the staking rate back up to market equilibrium. Nothing will blow up. Solo stakers will continue staking. Institutions that see the value in ETH will continue buying.
@TrustlessState usually does a good job at asking pointy questions and digging deeper, but feels like has taken a side already and never really pushes back here. Would be nice to have someone on the show to counter it properly @pintail_xyz @jdetychey
"7 of the top 10 DeFi protocols would face a massive capital exodus... to me, that blows up DeFi..."

It's growing and still the only place to cheaply leverage STRC with the dividend compounding
STRC pays 12% of $100. You can buy it for less
@Strategy has raised that dividend seven times to pull the preferred back to par
Toros has 2X and 3X Leveraged Tokens on STRC
I think this is the only leveraged STRC product with the dividend included
Replying to @torosfinance
STRCon from @Ondo holds the shares and rolls the dividend into more of them
The Toros 3X holds three times that position with borrowed USDC
Up 17% this week
I thought keeping crypto on an exchange was risky, so I moved it to a hot wallet.
But that was still too risky, so I bought a hardware wallet.
Then I learned the hardware wallet had generated weak keys, so I decided to generate my seeds by rolling physical dice.
I don’t really use crypto anymore.
I mostly just roll dice.
Imo the best self custody option is a multisig using different wallet providers / devices. Just eliminate single points of failure
COLDCARD Mk3 Security Advisory
If you generated a seed on a Mk3 after firmware 4.0.1, your funds may be at risk.
Mk4, Q and Mk5 are not affected based on our early analysis.
Read the advisory and migrate carefully:
