Even though this is a no face avi… I’ll say this… posts like this is why NBA twitter has gotten so corny and many don’t partake anymore… saying this about a literal team who just won a championship with the same exact team, after 3 pre season games is just wild.
Notes from tonight's Knicks preseason loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
1. The Knicks look small, slow, and unathletic.
2. Teams look great in transition vs the Knicks.
3. Tony Bradley looks like the best FA Center on a training camp deal. And it's not close.
4. Knicks 2024 draft picks Pacome Dadiet and Tyler Kolek do not look like NBA players. Especially when you consider the players who they passed on in that draft; Terrence Shannon Jr., Ajay Mitchell, Adem Bona, Baylor Scheierman, Oso Ighodaro, Pelle Larsson, Jaylen Wells, Jamal Shead.
Mo Diawara looks like another bust.
The Knicks can't keep missing in the draft.
5. Mikal Bridges looks expendable. You can find someone who gives you his production (Or lack thereof) for a fraction of the money.
And just like that, we’re back

The Phillies are the Phillies, but congratulations on your last playoff series win back in 2023

Seemed a little overwhelming for some players!
Stephon Castle says Madison Square Garden was underwhelming compared to OKC:
"It was underwhelming in that first game. They made it seem like it was going to be way crazier in there. OKC was way louder than MSG."

A parade for the ages. Brunson hosting SNL, and guest-starring on Law & Order: SVU and popping up at the Emmys. KAT curating a Sotheby’s auction. ESPYs sweep. Josh Hart in the U.S. Open broadcast booth. OG and Alvarado throwing out first pitches at Citi Field. The starting five appearing on Good Morning America. Countless red carpets.
Pretty cool summer.
This is what happens when you win in New York.
LeBron and KD had their reasons for passing on the Knicks, but they passed on a stage no other NBA city can offer.
Plenty of superstars dodged New York because of the pressure. Brunson and his boys showed what happens when you don't.
Win in NYC and the whole city is yours. Everywhere else, you just get a banner.
What I like about this:
- Pacers clearly want this to be a rivalry. Look at how hard they played vs NYK last year in a “tank” year.
- Players can still be friends and yet also “hate” a team they play.
- IND still can claim they are only team to eliminate NYK in last 3 years.
Tyrese Haliburton says he had mixed feelings seeing New York Knicks win the championship:
“The Knicks are they like our rival? Yes. But like are those guys like, I like those guys and like their friends? Yeah. At the same time, you know, like I usually watch like a finals celebration when like I have before in my life like I watch because that’s like a special thing and like an emotional thing to watch guys win a championship and then celebrate with their families like, I’m always like man that’s fire but when the Knicks won I thought to myself I got to turn this sh*t off.”
That definitely has to be a weird thing playing against your friends that is on a team that is your rival, and see them win a championship in a year you couldn’t play had to be tough.

3 months ago today…
“"It's over! It's over! Knick fans, this is not a dream! Your long, long wait has ended! Go ahead and cry! After 53 years, the Knicks are finally NBA champions once again!"

It’s hard to imagine many people having a bigger impact than Dolly Parton. Born in a one-room cabin, she earned 11 Grammys and an Emmy, built a business empire, helped millions of kids learn to read, and — as if that wasn’t enough — helped accelerate the research that led to the Moderna COVID vaccine. What a life. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolly’s family and her many, many fans.

I can’t lie when people used to say “The Knicks winning sent the NBA in a frenzy, I was kind of skeptical. Then the “Championship trophy is a participation trophy” talk came right after we won and it opened my eyes. Now this. The Knicks finally won a championship and now they are trying to DEVALUE THE CHAMPIONSHIP. Nasty work bro. Nasty nasty work. Knicks in 5 for life. Foh!!
