This truck driver is proof that being busy isn’t an excuse not to stay in shape and eat healthy. Yes, he might have an unorthodox way of getting things done that doesn’t seem practical to others, but the point is that there’s always a way to make things work if you want it badly enough.

Amber Lynn and the biggest porn stars of the 1980s stayed up all night doing cocaine in her Las Vegas hotel suite, around 20 of them, with two hours left before they had to sign autographs for thousands of fans. Nobody had slept. So Amber came up with a solution: call in a fake bomb threat to shut the convention down. Her friend picked up the phone and did it. Five minutes later, the phone rang back. In the video below, she tells the story to Holly Randall, laughing so hard she can barely get it out. It was the height of the golden age of adult film. AVN in Vegas, the Sahara hotel. Amber was under contract with Vidco, owned by Reuben Sturman, the man known as the godfather of the industry. Next to her sat Ginger Lynn, the very first contract star Steven Hirsch ever signed when he was launching Vivid. The studios put the two of them side by side in the dead center of the convention floor. The line of fans stretched across the entire hall. They were treated like royalty. Limos. Open bars. Anything they wanted in the rooms. And the whole industry partied in their adjoining suites. That night it was cocaine until sunrise. Eight in the morning. Nobody had gone to bed. They had two hours. "How about a bomb threat?" Her friend Susie Gunn said great idea, called the front desk and reported a bomb. They all sat there staring at each other. Someone was still holding the mirror. Then the phone rang. And rang. Nobody wanted to answer it. Finally someone picked up. The voice on the other end: you have 30 minutes to get downstairs. All of you. On the floor. "Bomb threat, my ass." Panic. Everyone in the room started grabbing whatever was in Amber's closet and drawers. Sharon Mitchell. Ginger. All of them, in her clothes, high out of their minds, running down the stairs. They sat down at their tables. Ginger in a fur coat. Everyone looked at them and said: "Bomb threat, huh?" The people in that room went in wild directions. Ginger Lynn later dated Charlie Sheen and served time for tax evasion. Sharon Mitchell got sober, earned a doctorate and founded the health clinic that tested performers for HIV for years. The industry's biggest stars tried to shut down a convention with a fake bomb. The people running it knew exactly who to call. Some lessons are written in other people's mistakes. Watch it once. Remember it forever.

Holly Hendrix performed in front of hundreds of strangers who bought tickets to watch, and her very first scene, on her 18th birthday, was a staged brutal one. Then a Valentine's Day shoot turned real: she says her co-star slammed her head into a wall, beat her and stood on her face until her jaw locked. When she bled, the director didn't cut. He moved the camera closer. In the video below, she sits down and lays out what the cameras never show you. She grew up in a trailer in Savannah, Georgia. Walmart clothes, big glasses, curly hair. Nobody ever called her pretty. She graduated high school two years early, at 15, and was studying to become a pharmacist. Then she followed a guy to Miami. Everything he told her was a lie. His friends stole the laptop her grandma gave her for graduation. She ended up sneaking into empty rooms at the hotel where she worked just to have somewhere to sleep. A "modeling agent" called. Nude modeling. Then video. She hung up. Then she called back. She shot her first scene on her 18th birthday. She had never done anything like it. Everyone on set told her she was phenomenal, better than women who'd been in the business for decades. For a girl who'd never been called sexy, she says that feeling became an addiction. New girls, she says, often make around $2,500 a scene or less. Most don't last six months. At Kink.com's old San Francisco studio, she performed in front of a paying audience. Hundreds of people watching her face, wondering how such a tiny girl could do it. She loved it. Then the dark side. She says drug use on set has become normal. Directors feed new girls drugs and alcohol. Pressure them into the bathroom. And girls go along because saying no might mean never getting booked again. She admits she's been that girl. "I guess technically it is rape," she says, "when a girl has not given you consent." And then she tells the Valentine's Day story. Her agent called it a present. The co-star was someone she had a crush on. There were safe words. She gave signs. His eyes went black. Her ears were ringing. She was slapped and ordered to talk when she couldn't. Blood on set should have stopped everything. It didn't. She needed treatment for her jaw afterward. She finished the scene. Today, at 27, she says she feels forgotten by the industry that once flooded her phone. And she still says she loves it. They taught her to never say no. The day she said stop, nobody listened. Some lessons are written in other people's mistakes. Watch it once. Remember it forever.

At 13 she played Bach at Carnegie Hall. She had an IQ of 156 and a full scholarship to Rutgers, and she walked away from all of it to make more than 350 porn films. This year, at 52, she passed the bar exam. Jessica Steinhauser grew up in New Jersey with a Japanese father and a German mother. She spent her childhood at the piano, and by 16 she was already teaching English at a college in Japan. Rutgers gave her a full scholarship to study Japanese and economics. Then she did the math and realized dancing and modeling paid more than any job her degree would get her. So she left school and moved to Los Angeles. In 1993 she started filming adult movies as Asia Carrera, and two years later she became the first Asian performer to win the industry's biggest award for performer of the year. She was also a Mensa member, although Mensa refused to put a link to her website. In 2003 she quit and married Don Lemmon, a nutritionist and author. It looked like the start of a normal, quiet life. Three years later he was killed in a car crash outside Las Vegas. She was alone and in her 40s when she went back to school in 2015. First came a psychology degree, then a master's, then law school. In 2026 her real name appeared on the official list of people who passed the Texas bar exam. The girl who once played Carnegie Hall ended up as a lawyer, 30 years later than anyone expected. This is the interview where she explains why a genius picked porn. If you could go back, would you tell 19-year-old Jessica to stay at Rutgers, or was this the life she was meant to live?

John Bobbitt beat his wife using military techniques, choked her, forced anal s*x on her until she bled, r*ped her repeatedly throughout their marriage and forced her to have an abortion. On June 23rd 1993 he came home drunk and r*ped her again. She went to the kitchen, picked up a knife and cut off his penis. Threw it out the car window. Police found it. Surgeons reattached it in a 9-hour operation. What most people remember is the knife. What most people don't know is what came before it. In the video below her actual courtroom testimony plays out - and it's one of the most harrowing things ever broadcast on live television. She testified about years of abuse. Witnesses confirmed bruises on her body. She described locking herself in rooms only to hear him prying the door open with a screwdriver. Said when she tried to leave he threatened to throw her out with nothing - no money, nowhere to go. She described being forced into the abortion - him sitting in the waiting room telling her the needles were going to be so big she was going to die, laughing while she cried. Nurses had to take her to a separate room because she was in such distress. She said she felt guilty about it for years afterward. She secretly recorded his insults on a tape recorder to show a divorce lawyer. He found it, heard his own voice and beat her for it. On the night it happened she said she went to the kitchen for a glass of water. Said standing in the refrigerator light every memory came flooding back. Every assault. Every humiliation. Every time he told her she was too Spanish, too small, that she didn't deserve him. She said she didn't remember picking up the knife. The jury found her not guilty by reason of temporary insanity. John was later tried for marital sexual assault. He was also found not guilty. Both walked free. Neither got justice. The case changed American law on marital rape forever. Was justice served for either of them, or did the courtroom simply confirm what the bedroom had already decided?

In May 2012 a 74-year-old grandmother in Michigan walked into her 17-year-old grandson's bedroom with a Glock. He was in gym shorts and socks, and after the first shots he called 911 and gasped: "My grandma shot me. I'm gonna die. Help." Her name was Sandra Layne. Jonathan Hoffman had been sent from Arizona to live with her and her husband in West Bloomfield Township while his parents were caring for his little sister, who had a brain tumor. He had a probation case and a drug problem, and on May 18, 2012, he tested positive for synthetic marijuana. That afternoon, back at the condo, Layne went upstairs with the gun. She fired 10 times in about 6 minutes and hit him six times, twice in the back. On the 911 recording the dispatcher keeps asking if he is still there. Then another shot goes off on the line, and Jonathan screams: "I got shot again." When police arrived she was still holding the pistol and said: "I murdered my grandson." He was dead on arrival at the hospital. In the video below, Layne sits in court in an orange jumpsuit while the call is played, then takes the stand. She says Jonathan demanded $2,000 and her car, kicked her and hit her in the head, and chased her through the condo. Asked how many times she fired, she says: "I don't know." A nurse who examined her after her arrest found no injuries, and she never called 911 herself. The jury played the call over and over and convicted her of second-degree murder. At sentencing her own daughter, Jonathan's mother, refused to call her "Mom": "Sandra Layne is pure evil and if given the opportunity would surely kill again." Layne sobbed, "I don't want to die in jail," and got at least 22 years. Defenders say she was a frightened 74-year-old alone with a teenager on drugs who had already hit her. Prosecutors say she loaded hollow-point bullets and hunted a boy in his socks for six minutes. Was Sandra Layne a terrified grandmother defending herself, or did she decide that afternoon that her grandson was not leaving that room alive?
