Here is a man with real struggles (he is a cross dresser) And here are Latter day Saints meeting him with nothing but patience and tenderness. No sales pitch. No baptism quota hiding behind the kindness. They simply love him the way you would love a brother, because to them that is exactly what he is. That is the gospel. Not the argument about it. The thing itself. You can debate their doctrine all day. You cannot debate this. Jesus said the world would know His disciples by their love for one another. I truly wish more churches outside the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints held themselves to the standard these members quietly live every week.
A heartfelt testimony from somewhere you might not expect. ❤️

Mormons are Christians: the evidence In April 1985, Bruce R. McConkie, an apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, stood at the pulpit while cancer was killing him. He used what strength he had left to testify of Christ. Thirteen days later he was dead. He did not spend his last public words on a creed or a program. He spent them on Gethsemane, on the cross, and on the empty tomb. He spoke as a man who knew he would soon stand before the Savior he was describing. “I am one of his witnesses.” Please just watch the video. Then look at how Mormons live, how they serve, and how they worship. Then tell me they are not Christians. They take communion every Sunday and promise to always remember Him. They are baptized in His name, they pray in His name, and His name is on the sign of every chapel they build. Their book was written to convince the Jew and Gentile that Jesus is the Christ, and its prophets talk of Christ, rejoice in Christ, and preach of Christ to the last page. They send their sons and daughters to the ends of the earth at their own expense to tell strangers about Him. They go hungry once a month so the poor can eat, and when disaster hits, the yellow shirts show up before the cameras do. You can argue with their theology all day, but you cannot argue with a people who have built their entire lives around a Man they have never seen. If that is not Christian, nobody is. -- reality

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Mormon Pioneers, who were driven from state to state, our women raped, our property taken by the federal government, our women’s right to vote taken away from them, cannons were pointed at our temples, our leaders were thrown into prison, and extermination orders were literally given out by the government of Missouri. There was literally no place far enough away where we could get away from the people who wanted us dead. Outside of the native Americans, and the people who were brought here in slavery, No other group in American history has faced as much antagonism from the United States government than us. We settled the entire intermountain West, and turned it from a barren desert into a blossoming rose. We are good citizens, we are good Americans, and we build, strong families, and good communities. But for some reason, people hate us with an irrational level of anger, and it’s mostly comes from people who claim to be Christians.

Anti Mormon, 1837: "Their bank in Kirtland collapsed. They're broke. Proof God isn't with them." Anti Mormon, 2026: "They have hundreds of billions in reserves. Proof God isn't with them." Broke? Not of God.
Rich? Not of God. Driven from Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois with nothing, they built one of the most financially sound institutions on earth in a desert. That isn't proof God left them. It's proof He never did.

From my reading of the Book of Mormon, I have come away with two major themes: - Pride leads to destruction - Jesus Christ is Lord and He died for our sins. Both, of course, are key messages from the Bible itself — but the BoM puts great emphasis on the former. The parallels between parts of the BoM and our present day are chilling and, regardless of the archeological or historical truth, many would benefit from reading it and heeding its warnings.

“Advocates for absolute religious freedom should yield to the reality that in a nation with citizens of many different religious beliefs or disbeliefs, the government must sometimes limit the right of some to act upon some of their beliefs when it is necessary to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all.” —President Dallin H. Oaks, “Faith, Freedom, and the Common Good,” National Cathedral, Washington, D.C.

My bishop couldn’t give me an explanation as to why. Maybe you can? In the 1990s I could walk down a high school hallway and pick out the LDS kids. The girls I could pick out at a glance. The boys took a five minute conversation, and not a conversation about religion. Their values gave them away. Their bearing gave them away. Something had formed them, and you could see the form on them like a mark. A people is a people because you can tell them apart. That was the whole point. They were peculiar, and they knew it, and it held. Try that in a hallway today. I could not do it. Neither could you. In the 1990s two men in a marriage would have been excommunicated. There was no debate about it. Today a member with a public name is married to another man, the two of them talk openly about shopping for eggs so they can have a child, and he remains in the fold. The LDS Church now says in its own official voice that members who identify as transgender are welcome. Members in good standing organize raves and market them to the Saints. Women who have been through the temple post pictures that make it plain the garment is gone, and nobody says a word. Here in my own town a man in public life was living in open violation of the law of chastity (swinger) and not hiding it. It was brought to his bishop. Nothing happened. In the Church I grew up in that would have ended in a disciplinary council. You can call this mercy. You can call it surrender. I am not arguing that question here. Reasonable Saints will land on both sides of it. What I am saying is narrower and harder to deny. The change is real. It is seismic. Anyone who lived the 1990s inside the Church knows it is real, and pretending otherwise is not charity. So what happened? Sincerely, Kirk

I predicted they’d call off Congress until the election to stop our new Epstein bill. Johnson said on TV that was “stupid” and “nonsensical.” But then he got a call from “upstairs” and canceled Congress from the middle of September until the election.

IDK all the details and maybe I am Missing something but the fact Jake Retzlaff comes back to @BYU to support the program says a lot. When you have a school that kicks you out over breaking the honor code… and you still come back and show support… that means something on both sides.

Mormon: So the Bible calls heavenly beings “sons of God,” right? Protestant: Yes. Job 38:7. Mormon: And they existed before the earth was created? Protestant: Yes. Mormon: And in Job 1:6, Satan appears among the “sons of God” in the heavenly assembly? Protestant: Yes, but— Mormon: So a biblical case can be made that Satan was one of these heavenly sons of God? Protestant: I don't like where this is going. Mormon: Jesus is the Son of God? Protestant: Obviously. Mormon: And Jesus even calls other children of God His “brothers” in Hebrews 2:11? Protestant: Yes, but Jesus is UNIQUE. Mormon: Of course. Nobody said “brother” means “equal.” Protestant: Still, calling Jesus and Lucifer brothers is completely unbiblical! Mormon: I just built the argument from Job, Hebrews, and the biblical category “sons of God.” Protestant: You're twisting Scripture to fit your theology! Mormon: Ohhh. So we're allowed to object when somebody reads their theological framework into our scriptures? Protestant: That's different. Mormon: Naturally. 😂

Lizzie. You would have been a pharisee if you lived 2,000 years ago. The Jews said: "I accept the Tanakh." "I reject the New Testament." "Canon is closed." I'll venmo you $666 if you can find where God said He stopped talking. We believe God doesn't change. He still speaks.
I believe the Bible. I reject the Book of Mormon. The canon is closed.
