Would your agent respect a block? One customer's agent hit a block at the MCP gateway, switched to Bash, and successfully submitted the change. This is why MCP-layer controls aren't enough, and why policy belongs at runtime. Read more: bluebear.io/blog/the-tool-bl…

An MCP tool denied a production change, so the control looked like it worked. The agent switched to Bash and made the same change anyway. A block on one tool does not prove the action is blocked.
