Growing up, I absolutely video games, maybe a bit too much.
I had this weird wish on my bucket list to work in a gaming company when I got older.
For the past two years, I had that chance with @gguncharted . From @GangsterArena to @BlastTheBalloon to @FishingFrenzyCo .
Today we are sad to announce that Uncharted and Fishing Frenzy will shutdown and cease operations.
Despite our best efforts, we were ultimately unable to prove our thesis on crypto gaming and could not find product-market-business fit. We spent a lot of time in the past year testing multiple directions and audiences, but the results did not give us enough conviction in a viable path forward.
We are deeply thankful for the community and investors who gave us their time and trust, and we are sorry we could not deliver.
Here is what’s happening next:
- Servers will shutdown on June 25th 2am UTC
- USDC packages are no longer available in the game
- FISH token is now spend-only and untradable
- Karma scores are now open sourced for use by other teams and partners: github.com/unchartedgg/karma…
- All USDC from the FISH/USDC LP pool will be redistributed to the community and stakers, based off Karma score (snapshot taken as of 15 Jun)
- All USDC spend since Chapter 3 launch (May 14th) will be refunded (excludes diving)
- All Proof of Distribution rewards will be distributed by Sky Mavis directly to the community, proportional to Karma scores
Once again, we are grateful to everyone who supported us and will be available to answer any questions in our Discord.
We have also put together a FAQ here in the wiki: wiki.fishingfrenzy.co/guides…
Thanks,
JW, Derek and the rest of the Uncharted Team
Top of funnel, middle of funnel, bottom of funnel.
Those are the only three content types you need to predictably turn viewers into high-paying customers.
Content works exactly just like paid ads.
You need top-of-funnel content. Things like viral formats, stories, transformation, or bold takes, to reach new people and attract people who care who you are.
You then nurture those people through middle-of-funnel content. Things like tactical tutorials, financial breakdowns, or behind-the-scenes stories.
Ultimately, once they trust you, you convert them into buyers through sales assets or direct-response call to action on your feed or email.
Instead of focusing on just going viral and praying the right people come to your door, push them to the bottom of your funnel.
This is how you unlock the ability to attract your ideal customer and literally make money on social media.

What Makes @playcambria Viceroy Charters Special?
@cyberpunk , founder of Cambria, explains what sets Viceroy Charters apart from standard Charters and their potential role in the game
➜ Viceroys act as administrators within Cambria, responsible for issuing Charters and managing resources
➜ With only 500 Viceroys, their supply is limited
However, the team is keeping expectations realistic, as their role could evolve with the upcoming Genesis season
Are Viceroy Charters special because of their rarity, or could their role in Cambria make them even more valuable?

buying japanese trading cards locally in japan has to be cheaper, right?
that’s what i thought until we checked the prices at a local card shop in tokyo.
we pulled up recent ebay sales through card ladder. the cards we were looking at were priced at 3x those sales.
not quite the bargain i was expecting 😂
this is why you check before you buy. being in japan doesn’t automatically mean you’re getting a deal.
you don't queue for new cards in Japan. you win a lottery for the right to buy them.
We hit a bunch of card shop in Tokyo to find out:
what are Japanese card shops like inside?
how do you check what a card is worth?
is it actually cheaper to buy cards in Japan?

My show is already over a year old, and building a professional platform for it has been one of my main goals from the start.
The past two months have been busy, but super fun working on this with @ghayzal_sol.
S/o to you for all your hard work, for listening to my ideas, and for making countless changes to get this website to where it is today.
This feels like the first big step toward taking the podcast to the next level.
