Jan Read #1. This book took me 5/6 months to finish but we made it! Imbolo Mbue is a brilliant writer, I’ll definitely be reading more of her stuff. This particular book was hard to read because it was too real to be fiction. Good book though and what an ending!

i don’t care if fashion is not considered art to many, just bc it’s widely commercial and a product first it doesn’t minimise the artisanal quality and creative value behind them

Dear Debora Cahn,
You're gonna have to shoot 2 seasons of #TheDiplomat at a time 'cause I can't keep rewatching this season over and over – and get any sleep. And I do not want to wait a year to hear what Hal says. So … brilliance appreciated. Work faster!
Signed,

kate and dennison were so beautiful together
i think kate fell in love with dennison bc dennison reminded her of smth hal was during their ’high highs’, and dennison’s sister clocked this early on! it was utterly devastating to see how kate needed to grieve all by herself bc she wasn’t invited to funeral etc

Stores can be rebuilt, buildings can be rebuilt. People however need to afford to be able to live. Remember that.

I’ve just come to a rather uncomfortable realization that I really like the finer things in life and I need to make a lot of money.

everybody moved but i am still sat at the restaurant, thinking about how the whole « indecent dressing » crackdown was brushed under the rug, and how probably the next time it comes, it will be way worse.
