Kasarani, Nairobi Area:
On Tuesday, 4 men, including 2 interdicted police officers, were arrested for allegedly masquerading as police officers & robbing members of the public in Nairobi & Central parts of Kenya.
Police constable Silas Onyango Okello, interdicted in March 2023 while attached to Kahawa Sukari Police Station & Constable Oliver Juma Boge, interdicted in March 2018 while attached to Railways Police Station.
The other 2 suspects were Stephen Okello Ombewa & Job Sindiga Munibi.
The group was using a grey Toyota Allion, Reg no. KCN 371M, to target members of the public within kasarani, where the latest victim, Silas Mwangi Wahogo, who was allegedly arrested by the suspects on claims that he was smoking marijuana & forced to pay Sh15,000 to secure his release.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the 4 could be linked to several robbery with violence, kidnappings & extortions within Nairobi & Central regions.
