TechMode Explains: Edition 6 - Complex tech. Clearly explained. This edition: Digital Twins 👯‍♀️ Digital twins sound very sci-fi 👯‍♀️ But the idea is actually pretty simple. A digital twin is a virtual version of something in the real world that is kept updated using data from the real thing. Think of a machine in a factory. Its digital twin can use sensor data to show how it’s performing, whether it’s overheating or if something looks unusual. Teams can then use that information to spot problems earlier, test different scenarios and make better decisions without experimenting on the real machine first. So basically: Real thing. Digital version. Real-world data connecting the two. Much less scary once someone explains it properly 😂 #TechModeExplains #DigitalTwins
