Says the low-ranking CIA agent tasked with selling US energy at 5 times the price of Russian energy to Europe.
2008, the US ambassador to Russia (William Burns, future head of CIA) wrote a memo to the US government.
He predicted that attempting to bring Ukraine into NATO may spark civil war in Ukraine and prompt Russia to invade.
He was ignored. Here we are now.

Lolo-Ferrari Whittaker is angry at her father, basically
Western Faction ("international" financiers, western warhawks, MIC etc) are going to try and pull some wild shit in the coming weeks to try and keep this Ukraine conflict alive / escalate it.
All this talk of winding down likely a ruse anyway but this faction won't run that risk

There is no time in history in which mobs of largely non-native ethnics would be allowed to run riot in a nation, without severe and immediate force being used to stop them
It is hard to avoid concluding that the regime desires the current state of affairs
The scenes in France tonight made me think about civilisation.
How permanent it all feels when you're living inside it. We assume the world around us will remain more or less as it is.
And yet, history tells us that every great empire that ever existed eventually came to an end….
Repeatedly, during the collapse of a civilisation, the people living through those final years rarely even realise it’s happening.
A 🧵…
Are these people fucking serious?
"We're going to cut welfare and spend it on fireworks to shoot at Russia in an unwinnable war"
The bullshit tricks being played on the European population at the moment are disgusting
A powerful intervention from the head of the Army. Something is coming, and government needs to wake up.
He says the public will have to make sacrifices so we can prioritise defence and security.
This is no time for “national security can’t come at the expense of social security”. Hard choices are coming whether ministers like it or not.
I have been clear where I would start: cut welfare spending and put the money into defence.
