Wow. It’s 2024 and I’ve just had to crawl along the floor of this LOT Polish airline to get to the toilet during a flight back from Warsaw as “we don’t have onboard wheelchairs. It’s airline policy”. If you’re disabled and you can’t walk this is just discriminatory.

After an idyllic week in accessible Barcelona, I just arrived at Gatwick.
Lift down to train platform is out of service.
I ask if there’s another way - yes but it’s a 15 min walk. I ask if someone can take me - no because “assistance finishes at 11pm.”
Welcome to the UK…

There's currently £100 off the Twinset combo at @_PhoenixI! This an absolute steal, believe me! Just the backpack alone has lasted me 5+ years of daily (& brutal) use hanging off the back of my chair. If you're a #disabled traveller, you can't do better!

Shiny new backpack from @_PhoenixI arrived today. My previous one saw 6 years of daily use hanging off the back (I'm talking going through serious punishment!). I wouldn't consider anywhere else for specialist #wheelchair luggage solutions - they're amazing!

Just a note to my Newcastle people, the train station lift is broken and they’ve told 0 people. Happy travel day.
@LNER please can you do something about this?

Happy #InternationalWheelchairDay ♿️🥳
A day for us to celebrate the impact our wheelchair has had on our lives 👩🏻🦽💨
For me, my chair is very much part of who I am. Without it, I can’t:
• Travel
• Go to work
• Hang out with friends
• Do the food shop
• Etc etc

I absolutely swear by my Phoenix Instinct bag, best luggage ever for the independent wheelchair traveller. Yes, not cheap, but there's currently 20% off the Compact - its tough as nails, will last forever & is mind-bogglingly easy to use!

"She can't get inside the building because of her wheelchair."
No. She can't get inside because the building is not accessible. The building has a barrier that does not let her in. The wheelchair is not the problem; the building's lack of access is the problem.
Words matter.

SHOCKED AND DISGUSTED WITH ALBASTAR AIRLINES - told me I should wear a nappy on board as I’m disabled and they don’t have an aisle chair. This is what I had to resort to. Please share - This isn’t acceptable!!! #disabled #wheelchair #AlbastarAirlines

If you get good customer service, be it on-line, in-store or on the phone, why not take the time to let the company know? People are quick to complain, but not so to compliment. Who knows, the company may reward the person, and appreciation means a lot in these grim times!

I'm stuck outside a coach because the 11:15 Leeds to Manager @megabusuk, provided by @jandbtravel, isn't prepared for me in my wheelchair. I booked the space 2 days in advance.
Boss has to come with a seat removal tool.
39 minutes late so far.
A disgrace. @DVSAgovuk – at Leeds, England
