THE MARKETING MACHINE BEHIND VACCINE MISINFORMATION The people who make the claims are only half the story. The people who make those claims travel far and wide are just as important. Take Peter McCullough (@P_McCulloughMD). Around him is a recognisable network of accounts, organisations and media outlets that repeatedly package and distribute his statements: @VigilantFox @TheChiefNerd @DiedSuddenly_ @McCulloughFund @NicHulscher @gatewaypundit @ChildrensHD @delbigtree They don't all perform the same function and do the same for multiple accounts. @VigilantFox and @TheChiefNerd specialise in the clip economy. Long interviews become short videos. Selected statements get dramatic headlines and a few seconds of testimony become a standalone social-media story. @DiedSuddenly_ supplies an established visual identity for vaccine-death and injury allegations. Individual cases, alarming headlines and emotionally compelling images are presented within a familiar narrative. @McCulloughFund and @NicHulscher provide the institutional and research-linked layer. They publish, promote, interpret and circulate material associated with McCullough. Hulscher also conducts and coauthors research, so his role extends beyond simple amplification. @ChildrensHD and @delbigtree provide established audiences and media platforms. Interviews, articles and broadcasts bring the same arguments to communities already receptive to vaccine-critical narratives. @gatewaypundit gives the material another route into the wider media ecosystem. Who did I miss? A claim originally made in an interview, hearing or Substack article can reappear as a news story, video clip, social-media thread and commentary piece. Their audience encounters it repeatedly, presented by different accounts, in different formats, with different headlines. To an ordinary reader, that repetition can create the impression that numerous independent sources are confirming the same conclusion. In reality, they all be circulate the same original propaganda laden assertion. It demonstrates a distribution system capable of turning one person's claims into a much larger and more persistent social media narrative. They are all in the same WhatsApp group of course. The next question is how those claims reached so many people, and why they remained persuasive even when the underlying evidence failed to substantiate them?
