This is an important and brave message from workers at Meta, where the CWU have members.
If the allegations are true that big tech firms have been suppressing the voice of @LulaOficial and ignoring extreme right-wing disinformation, everyone who believes in fair play should be seriously concerned.
American tech billionaires must not be allowed to interfere in democratic elections - the future of Brazil must be decided by the Brazilian people alone.
Meta employees denounce interference in Brazil elections.

The passion many have for returning to the EU means again embracing a system that prioritises the interests of private capital at the heart of its decision making.
Rejoining the EU is not the solution to our problems. Governments taking ownership of vital industry & services is.
Glad to see that @jon_trickett is making the same argument @BrianLeishmanMP @LabourCfS morningstaronline.co.uk/arti…

Cokehead Hitler wannabe encouraging Nazi thugs to attack people for discussing political ideas he disagrees with.
The far right have made it clear their target isn’t just immigrants. They’re prepared to use violence to silence anyone who opposes them.

Our sisters in @FBUScotland passed an emergency motion to support our Reclaim the Night demo outside Scottish Parliament on Monday ✊🏽💜🚒
✊ Day 2 - STUC Women’s Conference 2026 – FBU Emergency Motion
FBU Scotland’s Seona Hart moved an emergency motion calling for support for the Reclaim the Night demonstration and demanding sustainable, multi-year funding for women’s services across Scotland.
Seona highlighted the uncertainty facing vital services, including Murray’s Initiative, which faces the loss of funding in March 2027.
With violence against women and girls declared a national emergency, Seona challenged the lack of secure funding for the specialist services women depend upon.
🗣️ “Their recovery doesn’t operate on a funding cycle. Their safety doesn’t come with a financial year-end. And neither should the support they depend upon.”
Seona called for multi-year, ring-fenced funding to protect these services, the women who rely on them and the workers delivering vital support.
✊ “You cannot declare an emergency and then fund the response as though it is optional.”

I was there last night when 20 masked fascists tried to attack a socialist meeting in Glasgow.
These aren’t concerned citizens. They’re thugs trying to silence political opposition through violence and intimidation.
Unity on the left is essential to defeat the far right.
Read our statement on events last night in the graphics below.
We say don't be intimidated, stand united and in solidarity with one another.
Build @AntiRacismDay @SUTRScotland
All out to mobilise for the @ScottishTUC St Andrew's Day anti-racist and anti-fascist march on 28 Nov.
Good guy, so goes with the territory.
Imagine if the same effort had been put into following the far-right around. Crazy talk.

This post would make sense IF the SNP Scottish Government hadn’t sold off £3 billion worth of assets in a Green Investment Portfolio to private companies.
The SNP have so far given away Scotland’s renewables sector for buttons to private capital and foreign corporations.

Very pleased to contribute to @sheffielduni report launch in Parliament today on workers rights in parcel delivery. Growth in this expanding sector cannot be on the back of low pay and insecure work. Bogus self employment must end

Ignore the scare stories from the bosses. Working people create the wealth in this country.
They deserve strong trade unions to fight for their fair share.

Royal Mail is in crisis. Staff are leaving in their hundreds every week, workloads are becoming unmanageable and communities are being let down.
We cannot carry on like this. The Government and company need to work with the CWU on a plan to save this vital national service.

Darren Barker, aka SnoopDeg, compares Black people to monkeys and spends his weekends running about with Nazis in his nonce bonnet.
Maryam, who he’s attacking, is a survivor fighting cuts to a women’s service she and others desperately need.
Which one is hijacking the movement?
Its literally all the same people with the same schtick..
The last 2 pics are the posts the organisers used to arrange it.
"Rape, domestic abuse and sexual assault is rising across Glasgow... services are cut... we are furious..."
Then lists a bunch of things that they usually moan about that have fuck all to do with women and children's safety in Scotland 🤔
You can see how they've hijacked this movement too.

The BBC have shone a light on the harsh pressure postal workers are facing, and the price paid by consumers for the historic mismanagement of Royal Mail.
The company has been in structural decline for well over a decade, and the continuous failure to deliver quality of service is killing the brand, demoralising the workforce, and letting down the communities that postal workers are proud to serve.
If you care about the public services we all rely on, get involved!
👇
Public sector reform cannot be government speak for cuts.
Workers can provide an alternative.
We're launching The Workers' Inquiry. We can improve our public services but that requires investment and improvements, not cuts and closures.
Have your say.

The trade unions she was brought up by also - from day one - understood the value of international solidarity.
Class doesn’t stop at a border.
I'm so depressed by this the Trade Unions I was brought up by and I was raised in a Trade Union family this isnt the politics of a Trade Union our politics was working class politics, jobs, pay, education, health & housing & cost of living. This is the politics of the middle class activist single issue & cult like. That changes nothing but makes the activist central in their own campaign

Energy bills up📈
Profits up💷
Fuel poverty up😡
It’s time to end the chaos in our energy network, which allows profiteers to flourish while workers and communities are left in the cold.
We need public, democratic control to make energy affordable while sustaining decent work. The question is no longer whether we can afford to nationalise; it's how long we can afford not to.

Devastating news today. My office is there to support the workers impacted.
Both governments put together a package to help Syngenta, but the company saw their future elsewhere.
The £200m from the national wealth fund must be spent. The town and workers need new industry.
Exclusive: Nearly 400 jobs are to be lost in Grangemouth as a chemicals producer prepares to cease operations in the town.
Syngenta has put forward plans to close the site.
Comes after 400 jobs were lost in last year's oil refinery closure.
