So sad we lost this incredible man who made so many horror fans so happy. Deepest condolences to his friends and family. Thank you TONY TODD for sharing your talent with us in so many memorable performances. We will never forget you. R.I.P. 💔

.@bookingcom is an absolute garbage company. Use them to find the hotels but book directly with the hotel instead. Zero flexibility if you become unexpectedly ill (even if days before) and provider can't/won't change dates. Atrocious greedy company

I kinda miss this era of teen horror movies like this, Scream, I Know Whst You Did Last Summer. Somethings are better first time round!
Thanks @anst4n for posting this thread which has gotten a lot of traction. I’m so fortunate to have been able to assemble this incredible cast for URBAN LEGEND. Everyone of them were wonderful to work with and gave their all for the movie. Great actors and also wonderful people.

It’s so hard to fund films so… Roman Coppola, Eduardo Sanchez and I are teaming up with @DCP_Foundation & @arts3fdn to give 2 horror filmmakers $25k each to make a horror short! We’ll help with production and much much more! follow DCP for info on the new HORROR initiative!

Do you remember when you joined X? I do! #MyXAnniversary Yayyyy. I'd say I've made fairly useless contacts on this platform apart from a select few.

Met with an industry “professional” today who, upon hearing I'm from the north, responded with utter disdain. Despite not reviewing any of my work, they labeled me an inexperienced director What I’ve done as an “inexperienced” filmmaker #workingclass #film #northern

My theory on movies having bad box office so far this year is threefold. 1- Covid really made people comfortable with watching new movies at home. 2- Younger people (like my kids) don’t want to sit through movies as much anymore. YouTube and TikTok broke their brains. When I was a kid, movies were all I cared about. I’d go every week. 3- it’s just too fucking expensive. 100+ bucks for a movie night out for a family.
‘FURIOSA: A MAD MAX SAGA’ earned $25.55M on its domestic box office opening weekend. The film had a $168M budget. Read our review: bit.ly/FuriosaTHH

3. The purpose of retirement is not to quit work. It’s to quit the type of work you have to do for money, so you can do whatever work you want and not need to stress about how much it pays.

Excited my latest short is at my local cinema, good luck (?) to all!
When local teams of #community & #student cast/crew send in films with potential, the right thing to do is give them a screening opportunity! This year @_LeeFrancis brings the curious Luck Collector, and @antoni_kosma offers up his dark #studentfilm, In The Bedroom! #shortfilm

There needs to be a TV series that shoots for 52 weeks of the years. A training ground for real working-class producers, writers, and directors. Amplifying diverse voices and bringing authentic stories to the screen. F**k it, I’ll make it! Anyone wanna help??
New research exclusively seen by Channel 4 News shows just 1 in 12 creatives working in TV and Film in England, Wales and Northern Ireland are from working class backgrounds. Actor Samira Ahmed says her experience of drama school made her realise "you need connections".

The cast of ‘THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT’ have released a statement ahead of the original’s 25th anniversary & a new reboot, asking for: 1️⃣ - Residual payments for the film, which they never got 2️⃣ - Consultation on future projects where their names & likeness are used 3️⃣ - A $60k annual grant to an aspiring filmmaker to aid in making their first feature film

I think we can all agree, everything should have Elias Toufexis in it.
Replying to @newguyreview101
Apparently, a Myst TV show (or a film based on The Book of Ti’ana, the second Myst novel) has been on the cards for over a decade but never got off the ground. I would love to finally see a Myst movie or show (and it must have @EliasToufexis as Atrus).

Notice how they all say what's most important/they regret not prioritizing is: • Health • Family time • Experiences • Relationships • Enjoying each day & they realized money & working hard is not important...
