2/3
health and dignity can only be guaranteed by household water connections - this is the rationale upon which the established budget champions group will rally their course to ensure 24/7 access to water for Kisumu's rural communities. Dedicated to advocating for government
and partner funding towards household water connections in Kisumu County, we're setting clear targets and action plans to make clean water in every home a reality, not a luxury.

"To understand the solution, you have to understand the challenge."
Day 2 of the Water1st International visit took us to NyaburuCharo. Beyond the incredible, joyous welcome from the community, today was about walking in the footsteps of the local women and girls.
2/3
The team took to the trails to experience firsthand the grueling task of fetching water from the river. It’s a daily burden that thousands face—but together, we are working to change that narrative.
We also visited the borehole and the proposed site for the new water tank!

The future is bright, and clean water is on the way.

1/3 Yesterday, KWAHO had the absolute honour of hosting our partners and donors @Water1st International to share in our challenges and jointly define solutions and celebrate successes over the last few years.
Our journey started at the Nyatigo water project, where the team
2/3 connected with Got Nyatigo WASH Committee who are tasked with sustaining the flow #24/7. Through the villages, we laughed, we got testimonies, and we saw genuine smiles, smiles sponsored by clean water and safely managed toilets.
3/3 At Nyatigo primary school, where we danced to Rhumba, the message was clear "No more walking for water—just pure joy and better health for the bright pupils. Thank you, Water1st International, for making sustainable change possible!
