FROM PARIS TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT: NIGERIAโ€™S FUTURE IN FOCUS Following our dialogue at the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) office in Paris yesterday, we made a one-hour stop at a Nigerian restaurant, where we met and interacted with fellow Nigerians before departing for Strasbourg. We arrived at 12:15 a.m. today, Tuesday, 20 October. By 9:30 a.m., we were at the European Parliament, where we held a series of constructive meetings with Members of the European Parliament representing various committees. Our engagements continued until 6:00 p.m. Throughout these discussions, I reiterated that Africa is a continent of immense potential, the worldโ€™s second-largest continent by both land area and population, richly endowed with natural resources and blessed with a vast, youthful population capable of driving production, innovation and economic transformation. I called for stronger European support for Africaโ€™s development, particularly Nigeriaโ€™s, through partnerships that promote good governance, strengthen democratic institutions and protect the integrity of our electoral processes. Africa needs leaders with the vision, competence and integrity to unite our people, confront corruption decisively, tackle insecurity and reduce inequality. These are essential foundations for building prosperous, stable and inclusive societies. Africa must not be seen merely as a continent of needs, but as a continent of opportunities, solutions and possibilities. Nigeria, in particular, has the human and natural resources to play a significant role in global development. Our future must be built on responsible leadership, productive partnerships and a shared commitment to human dignity and prosperity. A better Nigeria is POssible. A New Nigeria is POssible! -PO

Medicine after death while he was a commissioner what did he do differently to frustrate corrupt politicians efforts to recruit fake NYSC members who conduct elections. NYSC needs to verify every member who will be at the upcoming elections they should disclose the list of all members across the country ahead of time.

Discernment is imperative to work with the good advice and bury the bad advice as every advice has good and bad in it.
Just because it came from someone older doesn't mean it's good advice. ๐Ÿ™‚

Housing laws are non existent in Nigeria that is why issues like this would suffice. If the landlord is taken to court they will be made to prove that they intend to renovate the house and if thatโ€™s not the case they would be made not to rent the house for a period of time for their actions.
โ€œMy Landlord In Owerri Has Just Ruined My Year By Giving Me a Quit Notice. I Havenโ€™t Even Spent Up To a Year In This House, And Our Agreement Was That I Intended To Stay For a Long Time. Thatโ€™s Why I Spent So Much Money Fixing And Renovating The House. Now, Heโ€™s Asking Me To Leave, And I Honestly Donโ€™t Even Know Where To Start From. Look At How Much Iโ€™ve Invested In Renovating This House. I Even Informed Him Before Carrying Out The Renovations.โ€ ~ Man Cries Out After His Landlord Gives Him a Quit Notice Less Than a Year After He Renovated The House.

NIGERIANS MAKE ONA NO SLEEP O @inecnigeria has refused to publish the voters register ONLINE. Even offline sef, as per @ARISEtv report, it wasnโ€™t published in some polling units in Lagos and people have to personally request for it. No be so o! The danger of waiting till day of election is that if your name is missing from your polling units, you will be disenfranchised and wonโ€™t vote o! Why are opposition sleeping? @PeterObi @KwankwasoRM @atiku @seyimakinde @sowore @NGRSenate @iamHSDickson Make ona no sleep o INEC is already flaunting the electoral laws.
Am I overthinking this? Because I am genuinely struggling to understand what is happening in Nigeria. @inecnigeria has disregarded the Electoral Act by failing to publish the votersโ€™ register online for public scrutiny, even after the statutory 90-day deadline has passed. Even under Mahmood Yakubu, the register was published online, with a mechanism for complaints and objections. Today, NOTHING! And somehow, the country has moved on like nothing happened. WHERE IS THE OUTRAGE? Apart from @ARISEtv and @fijnigeria, where is the Nigerian media? Where are @YIAGA, @EUinNigeria @EU_SDGN , @NDI and the other civil society organisations? @NigeriaNDCHQ .@ADCNig ARE YOU PEOPLE SLEEPING? Are you actually preparing for this election? This is the votersโ€™ register we are talking about. THE VERY FOUNDATION OF AN ELECTION! INEC has effectively said, โ€œTo hell with public scrutiny. Do your worst.โ€ And our collective response is SILENCE. I am genuinely pained. We complain about electoral malpractice and compromised institutions, yet when it is time to demand accountability BEFORE an election, everybody suddenly goes quiet. Must we wait until votes are cast and results are disputed before we start shouting? Seriously, am I the only one who finds this silence deeply disturbing?

MY MESSAGE HAS BEEN TWISTED Even though my media office has issued a responsible clarification on the situation, I still find it necessary to add my voice to address the distortion of my message by political opponents. I deeply appreciate Nigerians in the diaspora who work tirelessly and make enormous sacrifices to support their families back home. Their remittances pay for school fees, hospital bills, rent, and feeding expenses. Their patriotism and sacrifices deserve our profound respect. I never asked them to abandon their loved ones. My concern is that Nigeria should not remain a country where millions depend on relatives abroad for basic survival. Our goal must be to build a nation that provides jobs, affordable healthcare, quality education, and economic opportunities for its citizens. Political opponents may twist my message, but the truth remains clear: I am not asking Nigerians abroad to abandon their families. I am advocating for a Nigeria that will no longer abandon its own people. God bless Nigerians at home and abroad. God bless Nigeria. -PO
