Great discussion and problem/advantage storming about teaching juniors in AI times with @ziobrando at @KanDDDinsky ๐. A lot of interesting thoughts!
I proposed discussion about Code Quality in AI-driven development at @KanDDDinsky's OpenSpace (unconference). Meet me at Einstein II room at 12:15 and share your thoughts ๐.

I guess asserting should be manual part, at least at prompt level. Other parts can be inferred from the code.
For next 3 days I am at Berlin, attending @KanDDDinsky conference. If you're also here and would like to talk, reach me out ๐. Happy learning! โ at Berlin, Germany
I was today's years old when I found out that `shivammathur/setup-php` action did not have Release Immutability enabled - not anymore! Starting from next release, immutability will be there, so pinning action by tag won't be prone to malicious attacks ๐.

I also think that gym is a great place to meet people, even though I did not start any real friendship there (I am there for real business, not for chit-chat ๐). But I can see it as easy way if that's a goal for someone.

I met my new friends in my late 30s because of skateboarding ๐. When I started my fitness journey 2.5y ago I've been skating a lot as a cardio. One Sunday morning I just met The Old Guard and I just asked whether they have some WhatsApp group or something so we can hang out ๐.

Who even need friends when you can be a driver, master chef, cleaner, a pony, a swing, builder, playmat (don't confuse with playmate), teacher, a pillow, and everything what's needed all day long?? How dare you even think about such trivial things.

Exactly this! GHA cost is per-minute, so I guess for small projects where analysis on single CPU is already <1min the cost is not a concern, but for bigger repos this is awful waste of time AND money.
I was today years old when I found out that Psalm defaults to 1(!!) CPU when it detects CI environment ๐คฏ. Basically, if you run it on Github Actions, you have to opt-in for parallelism and reduce analysis time. It's such a waste of everyone's time!

I am going to @KanDDDinsky in Berlin for the first time this year. Who will I be able to meet there ๐?

Since tests are often really huge % of the changes, I don't spend time on reading them, I ask AI to summarise them & check the coverage. When I review the logic part, and ensure it's OK, then agent can ensure it's tested properly. I also AI-review my review before publishing ๐
.

Yeah, it's different technically, but - at least for me - is really similar process-wise. I use AI to implement, but also to (self-)review on top of my own investigation. At this point I don't try to read and understand every line, I rather want to understand the intent.

I guess our role now is pretty much the same, but using different toolbelt: ensure we deliver the best software we can. We orchestrate AI to implement the intent/process we want, following conventions we already have, in a secure & performant way. (Not) writing code is a detail.
