This morning I saw this man and instantly felt like I was a kid in Elementary school. I was just in awe. The absolute level of respect and admiration I have and will always have for Mr. Meka Egwuekwe is on another level. When I was learning to code and going to meetups, he was there. When I started hosting meetups and I would bother him with questions and ideas, he was there. when I started working in tech, he was there.
The man has been in tech since the 90s and here I was having ideas that were all over the place and enthusiasm for this industry! He never once put me down or discouraged me for it.
I've never seen him take light from anyone but always tries to do what he can for others. If you are at RenderATL today PLEASE show him some love. Many deserve recognition for their work and Meka is absolutely one of those people as well.
