Lisandro Martinez column! 🔴 his outburst was because he’s not been offered a contract & wants out 👍 🔴If MU fans agree with him, is it ok for DOF to publicly question his performances 🤔 🔴No back up at ST & LB, who is City’s back up for Haaland & RB 🤷‍♂️ telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

This will probably be Man City’s last league game at Anfield for a few years, but that means there’s no excuses going forward for Liverpool, Man Utd & Chelsea! telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Having seen so much reaction to the City verdict over the weekend, not least from hard-of-thinking Man City fans, the verdict has been official since last Tuesday. City ARE guilty. All and any sentiments along the lines of “let’s wait until the process is over” are ignorant.

New Blood Red out now. I wrote about the 25th anniversary of the great Gérard Houllier being taken ill at Anfield, speaking to @Carra23 and Mark Waller – the LFC doc who helped save the boss. @_ChrisBascombe kindly offered his reflections & sourced insight from @themichaelowen

Then City bought Mahrez and Chelsea bought Kante, and that was that for Leicester. "But we're the opposition to the cartel". Good grief.
The cartel clubs will love a Leicester City miracle. Why? Because they won the Premier League, lost their best players, couldn’t sustain financially and are now languishing in League One a decade later. They were never going to be a long-term threat. Villa, Newcastle and the rest are the same. One great season, maybe a CL spot, then the best players get picked off and they fall back down the table. The rules make sure they're not going to be a long-term threat. City are different. We stayed at the top. Season after season. For more than a decade. We matched them for players, trophies, revenue and global reach. We became a sustained threat to the order they had built. And that’s why they want us gone. That's why they will go to any lengths to damage our reputation, spread hatred in the media and leak misinformation. They want us to burn.

Michael Carrick’s result’s since he took over Man Utd have been fantastic! But this season he has been pushed harder by the media, & unfortunately for him that may continue if results don’t go well this week, as he’s still seen as an interim manager. telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Arsenal missed out on Vinicius Junior & Julian Alvarez, world class attackers to take them to another level. Bukayo Saka should be looking to be that guy now for Arsenal & use the lack of stardust narrative as motivation! telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Liverpool need & will want Florian Wirtz to start producing the goods very quickly. But so should the PL, there’s a lack of top quality & flair in a league dominated by set pieces last season. telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Losing to Argentina is more damning on Tuchel than defeat v Croatia/Italy/Spain are on Southgate. Those three nations were better than England, Argentina were not. But they looked it after Tuchel’s change to a back five, we hired him to do the opposite. telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

The FA appointed Thomas Tuchel to make decisive in game decisions that change matches & win England a trophy. That was the big criticism of Gareth Southgate’s reign in the fixtures v Croatia, Italy & Spain. Tuchel has delivered in two games running! telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

When Thomas Tuchel took the England job two years ago he knew he had two world class talents in Kane & Bellingham, but the question for Tuchel was, is there enough other top class players who can take England to a trophy? We aren’t any closer to knowing telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Thomas Tuchel’s squad is made up of players all of a similar ilk, every change from the bench last night was like for like. In a squad of 26 there had to be room for one or two more technical players who give you something different, Palmer & Wharton?? telegraph.co.uk/football/202…
