Lisandro Martinez column!
🔴 his outburst was because he’s not been offered a contract & wants out 👍
🔴If MU fans agree with him, is it ok for DOF to publicly question his performances 🤔
🔴No back up at ST & LB, who is City’s back up for Haaland & RB 🤷♂️

This will probably be Man City’s last league game at Anfield for a few years, but that means there’s no excuses going forward for Liverpool, Man Utd & Chelsea!

Not everyone is ‘doing the Poznan’ & turning their backs on Man City. One National League North club would welcome them to the 6th tier...
Many disillusioned PL fans have discovered a trip to Marine FC restores hope all is not lost for the game.

Having seen so much reaction to the City verdict over the weekend, not least from hard-of-thinking Man City fans, the verdict has been official since last Tuesday. City ARE guilty.
All and any sentiments along the lines of “let’s wait until the process is over” are ignorant.

New Blood Red out now. I wrote about the 25th anniversary of the great Gérard Houllier being taken ill at Anfield, speaking to @Carra23 and Mark Waller – the LFC doc who helped save the boss. @_ChrisBascombe kindly offered his reflections & sourced insight from @themichaelowen

Enormous pleasure having a pint with (& interviewing) legendary ex-BBC broadcaster Ray Stubbs & hearing his many tales involving Maradona, Best, Shankly, Gazza & the legendary Eagle Sunday League team. Someone ought to give him a book deal (or podcast)

Then City bought Mahrez and Chelsea bought Kante, and that was that for Leicester.
"But we're the opposition to the cartel".
Good grief.
The cartel clubs will love a Leicester City miracle. Why? Because they won the Premier League, lost their best players, couldn’t sustain financially and are now languishing in League One a decade later. They were never going to be a long-term threat.
Villa, Newcastle and the rest are the same. One great season, maybe a CL spot, then the best players get picked off and they fall back down the table. The rules make sure they're not going to be a long-term threat.
City are different. We stayed at the top. Season after season. For more than a decade. We matched them for players, trophies, revenue and global reach. We became a sustained threat to the order they had built.
And that’s why they want us gone. That's why they will go to any lengths to damage our reputation, spread hatred in the media and leak misinformation. They want us to burn.

Pound for pound, who are the best recruiters in the football business? Brighton? Brentford? Liverpool? (circa 2015-24)... actually, there's a strong argument that it's non-league Boreham Wood. telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

First time LFC have kept three consecutive clean sheets in Premier League since the start of Arne Slot’s reign in Aug/Sep 2024.

Lewis Koumas with a fantastic imitation of Adam Lallana at White Hart Lane in October 2015 - Klopp’s first game. Iraola can show the video clips to his front three & say ‘that’s the standard…’

Michael Carrick’s result’s since he took over Man Utd have been fantastic!
But this season he has been pushed harder by the media, & unfortunately for him that may continue if results don’t go well this week, as he’s still seen as an interim manager.

A few years back, a PL executive boldly claimed ‘virtual season tickets’ were coming - where you could be anywhere in world & feel you’re inside arena watching live match. Now the technology exists to make it part of next PL broadcast deal.

It’s now 18 of last 46. Iraola needs same space & time as Klopp in 2015 - crazy as that is given money spent. Many forget Klopp inherited an expensive, underperforming team, too. Last Wednesday night was very good. Yesterday poor. It will likely be a theme for a while.
