Political parties and politicians of all hues (but apparently particularly on the left) need to learn that dodging press conferences doesn't make a story go away.

The Labour party tried to intimidate me by issuing a highly personalised attack on me prior to the first story being published on Monday. That only made it worse.
Don't shoot the messenger.
