Why your best hitter should not bat 3rd.
The 3 spot in the lineup comes up with 2 outs and no runners on far more than any spot in the lineup. This is the 2023 season for example
The 3-hole is a filler spot where you put your 5th best hitter
The Giants benching Cam Skattebo is why the “accountability is needed!!!” argument is so dumb
Benching a better player for a worse player is dumb, it’s almost always going to be fuckin dumb. The Giants got what they deserved for trying to teach Skatt a lesson, or whatever
I’m glad the Giants benched Cam Skattebo so we can all watch legally blind Najee Harris try to find running lanes
I mean this in the absolute nicest way possible.
Anyone who isn’t saying superstar bat is an absolute fucking moron
I thought you were a lost cause after the uncropped AI bit but holy shit man
We’ve spent years talking about the Dodgers payroll, but are we asking the WRONG question?
Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, Cleveland… year after year, these organizations find ways to compete without spending like the giants.
At what point do big-market teams stop obsessing over analytics and start POACHING the scouts from these organizations?
Maybe the biggest competitive advantage in baseball isn’t payroll. It’s knowing how to IDENTIFY TALENT that can compete when the lights are the brightest?..
They will suck because they’re poorly run, not because they can’t spend like big markets, which is literally what I’m asking for. That’s competition.
I don’t think the Salary Cap fixes the Pirates, but it would be sick if they didn’t lose because they’re bad and because the Dodgers can triple their payroll.
Anything that Randy Miller says is immediately thrown in the trash and is not to be taken seriously
Next.
Derek Jeter and Don Mattingly reportedly met with Jazz Chisholm Jr. multiple times during his Marlins tenure, urging him to get his head straight, per @RandyJMiller.
The Yankees reportedly knew about those concerns before trading for him. 😳
There are very real people who think Austin Wells isn’t good at defense because he doesn’t do the pointless things they were taught to do in little league

Impressions must be down, either that or he’s trying to get ahead of next months rent
Elite engagement bait though
Drop whatever you're doing, folks
We're kicking off this Chaos Tuesday™ with a new bracket of the most embarrassing Yankees moments of the Aaron Boone era. There are 32 embarrassments coming from across 4 regions: October Nightmares, Boone's Brain, The Front Office, and Other Insanity That Sounds Made Up.
Be sure to vote early and often as we narrow things down to identify the single greatest embarrassment of the Boone era! We may not have the ALCS or the World Series this year, but at least we'll always have Chaos Tuesday. (First-round polls are in the replies below.)
“Yeah that Johnathon Lucroy guy is an absolute moron, the guy couldn’t even copy and paste data into a spreadsheet”
This is kind of hilarious actually
Replying to @_24kin
What if the data guys asked the MLB players to do their jobs and then went on a media tour calling them useless and stupid because they couldn’t do a job they weren’t hired to do
Dude is getting fuckin fried by the community notes lmfao
Deserved

The fact that the Yankees have Brad Ausmus as a bench coach makes me question their use of analytics just a little bit
I can’t imagine the “haha make the data people do blocking drills” guy is very smart
In 2019, Brad Ausmus, our manager on the Angels, made the brain trust guys go do blocking drills with us.
For context, Jose Molina was our catching coach. We were blocking 90 MPH sliders that day.
The guys weren’t disrespectful or anything, they were actually cool guys, but he wanted them to get an actually understanding of how hard it was.
It went how you would expect it to, and I actually felt bad for them at one point.
I simply have no interest in baseball once the Yankees are out of it, no second teams, no other rooting interests
Maybe I hate baseball
