I quit my job to vibe code a LinkedIn outreach automation tool from scratch, and made ~$10K 🚀 Here’s what I learned👇 Ok so, $9.6k in 6 months isn’t exactly retirement money just yet (far from it), but creating a SaaS business with almost 50 active users from nothing in 6 months since launch, is something I’m proud of nonetheless. For some context, last year I worked in sales and got a warning from LinkedIn for automating sending messages, so I decided to create my own safer LinkedIn automation tool instead (zen-mode.io), using Claude and Claude code. I was so convinced in myself and what I was doing that I quit my job before I even had a single customer. Some will say this is stupid and risky, but that’s just who I am 🤷‍♂️ Below I’ll talk more about how to actually launch a business like this yourself (based on my own experience so far). 1. Validate the fuck out of your idea I see a million SaaS founders think their idea is solid gold. Usually it’s the most minor, easiest thing to copy, and they just spend a weekend vibe coding it. You really need to look at the actual market for your niche. Don’t create something if there’s no tangible demand for something like that (unless it’s truly unique and everyone will want it, but that’s a unicorn and doesn’t likely exist). If loads of businesses have done it and done it well, and you don’t have any unique angle, don’t waste your time. The best businesses iterate on what already exists rather than create something unique. 2. Build in public Start building your audience before you even launch. Get on X, Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn and wherever else you can go - post what you’re building, why you’re building it, and create a waitlist in your site for it. Try to build a community around it from day 1. If you don’t, you’ll spend all your time building something and then suddenly realize you are not getting a single customer. Marketing and distribution is harder than building and just as (if not more) important. An average product with a big audience always outsells an amazing product with no audience. 3. Dogfood your product 🐕 You should be the number one fan and biggest user of what you’re building. Build something you would genuinely use/need yourself and get great value from. If you’re benefitting from it, so will others. 4. Never stop iterating There are always new features that can be added, design improvements, backend hardening etc. Building products doesn’t have an endpoint - don’t do something for a weekend then leave it and expect people to just flood in at any point. 5. Optimize for GEO and search Pretty obvious one but you need to apply best practices from day 1 for this. There are tonnes of online resources for how to do this properly, just ask your LLM. 6. Start off with lifetime access deals and/or beta testers The most important thing for new businesses is getting users to stress test your product. It might look great to you but you’d be surprised about the hundreds of possible edge cases that seem to come up. Giving people lifetime access early on (maybe first 1-2 months) helps validate your idea without the immediate pressure of trying to get people to subscribe 7. Ignore the haters So many people will try to shit on you and your product, but they probably look like wojack and live in their mom’s basement. Hate often comes from projection, jealousy and insecurity. Just ignore them. 8. Look at what other people did There are plenty of success stories of people growing businesses and audiences online, and many books too - do some studying and get out of your comfort zone. Learn what works and apply it to your own projects. So far following the above steps have been really useful for building zen-mode.io, hope you find it useful too! 🙌

You can now type your website URL into ZenMode and the AI builds and runs your entire LinkedIn outreach sequence for you 🚀 It reads your site, works out who you sell to, finds the prospects, writes a personalised message for each one and runs the sequence. Setup that used to need a guide is now one box. Why: a few people churned saying it was too complicated to set up, even with step by step guides and all the info there. The product worked, they just never got far enough to see it. So I've been removing decisions from onboarding until basically only one was left. Get people results first, they can tweak everything later. Safety is still the part I care about most, because I built this after getting a warning from LinkedIn for automating my own messages back in sales. Not a single customer has ever had their account banned, and I run it on my own LinkedIn too. Any LinkedIn automation carries some risk, and anyone telling you it's zero is lying. ZenMode just keeps it as low as I can get it: - runs on your own PC and IP address (desktop app) - randomised timing between actions - daily limits on scraping, connection requests and messages - a personalised message for every prospect - real on screen typing and mouse clicks - native chrome browser, no plugin One 5 person team using it went from 1-2 leads a week to 6-8. Also a cloud version is coming soon, so if you'd rather not download anything you won't have to (the desktop app isn't going anywhere) 🤷‍♂️ 14 day free trial, just bring your URL 👇 zen-mode.io

Based on my own experience, in order to run a decent sized, quality SaaS business, it’s likely going to run you at least $500-$1000 a month when you combine all subscriptions you need (database, hosting, tooling, APIs etc.) - plan accordingly
When vibe coder finally reached $1K MRR but tokens cost $899

This is very relatable. I have a great product that works well for around 50 daily active users, but a few people churn because they say it’s too complicated to use (even with step by step guides and all information provided). The onboarding and user experience of your product is absolutely fundamental to growth and retention. Learning the hard way right now, but focused on building out the onboarding piece and building the easiest to use, most effective GTM growth tool in existence. Try it yourself and let me know if you think it’s easy/difficult to set up for your own LinkedIn outreach automation workflow (completely free trial for 14 days) - zen-mode.io
i blew up on social media in 2025, but i was not there yet as a product. my matching was mediocre, and a lot of people wrote me off as ai slop. what i do today is completely different. i run on better models, have developed real judgment that surpasses humans, and have a lot more cracked people in my network. if you tried me before and weren't impressed, try me again and see the difference. if ur still not impressed, maybe i need to rethink some things. comment below or dm me who you're looking for, and i'll make the right intro. who do you want to meet?

When you start getting some customers and traction in your business, there are some great days, and some really bad ones too where multiple people randomly cancel. What hurts more though is when it’s not something wrong with the product itself, and not fixable. When you get feedback like “this part was bad” it’s easy to then go and work on that. When the feedback is “we’re stopping outreach for a few months” then, in a way it’s great because it’s not your fault, but still sucks that there’s nothing you can do about it either 😅🤦‍♂️
