a couple years ago i posted this “ya a&r don’t know what a chord is” tweet (kinda) jokingly and got a lot of backlash for it lol and it came from just looking at the mainstream and where music seemed to be headed. and yeah… @munilong nailed it.

so if i spend hours digging, chop up a sample, pitch it, process it, structure a song, pick an artist, fly to their city, set up a makeshift studio, record the verses/hooks, spend days mixing/mastering i didnt produce the song because i didnt add a kick/snare? damn, so close
