I won’t take because of what MPA said and cancel Lagos Igbo Hangout! We can’t play into the book of our enemies! Lagos Igbo hangout is not all about @favogbuji it is actually for all Igbo daughters and sons! Let us forgive our brother and continue to support his brand! Truly he made a mistake but he has always don a lot of good things! As for me and my family, I will continue to support Igbo Hangouts!
I want to genuinely express my sincere apology for some of the things I tweeted earlier. I was Consumed by grief and personal grouses to some certain quarters who have been trying to oppress me and suppress my voice. Seeing that i escalated to appropriate authorities and expected the wisdom of the elders in satiating the situation. I have also not been without blemish and i should have acted with more humility while seeking a redress the language I used about Igbo elders and our revered traditional institutions was very reckless , which i deeply regret. Calling people “evil” or “foolish” was disrespectful, and stupid of me and i take full accountability I have genuine questions , concerns and criticisms about some of our traditional systems, and I still believe we should be able to have those conversations honestly and within the confines of respect and gentlemanliness. But criticism should never become contempt for our people and culture. As someone who constantly advocates for Igbo culture, its people and development. I should have been more restraint and applied wisdom To everyone who felt insulted by my words, I am deeply remorseful. Going forward i will do better. Unu biko gbaharam 🙏

This is why inasmuch as we mostly disagree on context in some matters. I have a VERY huge respect and regard for you. You might be brash , rude and condescending just like me sometimes. But you have EARNED IT....and you are not a charlatan. On behalf of @IgboHangFest we will be supporting you with #50000 naira to continue this good work. Dont ever stop nwannem. Love you. Send aza to dm nnam❤️
I tend to not know how to seek for funds from people, especially our people when it comes to creative projects and academic projects, not because of anything than the fact that I am not fit to preach or convince anyone that preservation of language, history and culture matters. This is why I stopped seeking for sponsor for ozikoro.com and decided to make the project an African project from Igbo land. And honestly, that's fine by me. Anyway, here's the demo of what I've been working on for a year now. Been scraping and cleaning data has costs me thousands of dollars of my own money, but it's worth it. Still cleaning the data on Igbo, and when I'm done, I'll move to Edo next.

I’m sorry, @favogbuji, but I strongly disagree with you. Igbo culture does not need to evolve by being assimilated into Christianity. If anything, what we should be discussing is how to preserve Ọdịnala Igbo without constantly filtering it through a Christian lens. You cannot keep removing, altering, or redefining traditional practices simply because they do not fit comfortably within Christianity and still call that the preservation of Igbo culture. And this is where the argument becomes contradictory. The Christianity you are trying to reconcile Ọdịnala with is a religion whose teachings explicitly distinguish believers from those who do not share its faith. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers.” From a strictly Christian perspective, someone who follows traditional Igbo spirituality is an unbeliever. So why are we trying so hard to make two fundamentally different systems of belief spiritually compatible? If you are Christian, be Christian. If you are an adherent of Ọdịnala, be one. You can respect another person’s belief system without blending the two into something neither tradition originally was. Even Christianity itself warns against being lukewarm. Revelation 3:16 says, “Because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I am about to spit you out of my mouth.” My point is not that Christians cannot be Igbo or participate in Igbo culture. Of course they can. Culture and religion are not identical. But there is a difference between participating in Igbo cultural practices and taking elements of Ọdịnala, stripping them of their original spiritual meaning, and then rebuilding them around Christianity. At some point, we have to be honest about what we are preserving. You cannot preserve Ọdịnala by continuously making it conform to a religion that historically rejected it.
YOU MUST EVOLVE OR DIE OFF. No inbetween. The Igbo culture is very progressive and has intertwined seamlessly with the christian god ( christ). Whether you accept it or not is very very inconsequential. This is not 1800 , this 2026. And even though culturally strange , it has now become a new normal to go ofo in jesus name. Becuase Jesus is the Greatest force and all other forces bow before him. Even me MPA , who is the Biggest Force , i am under jesus. Evolve or die off.

Anambra men, don't be ashamed of listening to your mothers before you marry that babe. They know themselves too well. I used to be against this, but now? I agree with Anambra mothers. Abeg, Anambra men stay being ndị "mma anyị sii."
