Men from underrepresented groups, working in POST PRODUCTION SOUND (UK only), any genre, any stage of their career... Read on, Emma would like to hear from you.
Please Read. I’m working on a follow up to my report with the Lenny Henry Centre For Media Diversity on diversity in post production sound and looking to interview people, especially men, from underrepresented groups at any stage of their career working in UK ONLY post production sound across any genre. Roles such as Re-Recording/ Dubbing mixer, Sound Effects Editors, Dialogue editors etc. This aspect of the research is to explore the barriers people from diverse backgrounds experience within the UK TV industry. A principle of anonymity will be applied. Your identity will not be revealed. Please consider taking part to help shape our sector. email me at [email protected] My previous report can be found here to understand how the interviews will be used. Please share emmabuttsound.com/diversity

Just a reminder.
Do y’all know how easy it is to put your friends on? Very. You can start simply by mentioning their names in places that would benefit them. Your impact is a ripple effect. There’s plenty of room for us all to thrive. Someone else’s success doesn’t cast a shadow on yours. 📌

Pay your freelancers on time. That’s it, that’s the tweet. Not on day 30, not on day 35. Within the 30 day period and promptly as possible. With the industry in such a state, the least companies can do is not add stress by delaying payment. Far too many stories about this happening

I love this clip. I witness so many rich(er) people claiming working class roots. It really is a thing.
Hahahaha David Beckham wasn’t having Victoria as coming from a working class family.

We need rid of this lying, griftying government sooner rather than later, they're doing untold damage to communities, infra structure, economy.

#IfTheStreetsWereOnFire part of the @bbcstoryville series. Heart in my mouth viewing. Compulsive narrative. Beautifully shot. £1bn cut from youth services since 2010. Long may the outriders find a path, keep the faith and rebel. Safe passage Miles and Mac. @BBCiPlayer BikeStormz

“Fascinating and deeply moving film” 70,000 West African children were fostered by white Britons, and many of these individuals had to live in silence. Nine of those raised this way were invited to a workshop retreat, under professional guidance, to discuss their experiences.
